Ray’s musical style is rooted from his first days of DJing at the age of twelve, learning to blend records on his parents' consumer turntables and occasionally experimenting with any other audio equipment he could get his hands on. Emulating his early days listening to electronic sounds from new wave, hard edgy east coast hip hop and techno of the late 80’s from Detroit; an evolution of his own musical style to warm, deep and soulful house gradually building to groovy Chicago house and hints of funky techno on most of his DJ sets. Ray still keeps his ties to the golden era of hip hop, as he still continues to build his hip hop collection any chance he gets.

Ray has performed throughout Toronto’s most exciting days in House music history. The passion and energy through his music has been heard in all major landmark night clubs across the city over the past couple decades. The Living Room, Mad Bar, Aria, Living Room, Phoenix, Life, Big Bop, System Soundbar, Comfort Zone, Karma, Red Square, Atlantis, Granite Lounge and all sorts of Warehouse parties have all felt Ray’s electric vibes pulsing out from the DJ booth.

In recent years his deep passion for music has resulted in a career change to create more time for his passion of music. This spawned Ray to dabble into music production and sharing his live mixes on his Twitch channel every week at twitch.tv/djrayrayca. With a renewed energy towards DJing and music, he is currently holding weekly night at the Mix669, and working on projects to be announced shortly.
