Banff/Canmore, Alberta-based Livin’ & Dancin’ DJ Services is "DJ Ben" and he's all about fun and being in the moment. DJ Ben believes in the power of music to inspire, and that music is what frames our life experiences and memories. DJ Ben takes an interactive approach to getting guests on the dance floor with his motto being "knowing what to play, when to play it, and for whom to play it for", thus guaranteeing that you and your guests enjoy a great evening of dance and celebration.
Services offered
DJ packages include the use of wireless microphones. Simple and easy to use online music request forms, and event planning forms are available to ensure no important detail is over looked. Along with a state of art DJ and PA system, ceremony PA, dance floor lighting, decor uplighting, slideshow package and additional wireless speakers are available, thus providing you with everything you might need.

Wedding DJ service
DJ Ben did a fantastic job at my daughters wedding. It was a very small group of us and he had us up dancing and enjoying the evening. He had a great selection of music and did a fantastic job being our MC for the evening. He was very professional and was easy to work with. The communications before the wedding regarding the music selections, were very easy and straightforward. His dance selections were completely what we expected and he read the crowd very well. Ben brought some uplighting which was a fantastic addition and added a great ambience to the room. We would HIGHLY recommend him for DJ services. Well done Ben and thank you again for a fantastic job :)

Dj ben is awesome!
We’re so grateful for DJ Ben! From our first conversation to the end of our wedding, he was incredibly responsive and genuinely caring. Having our wedding at Viewpoint #5 in Kananaskis, Alberta, came with its challenges, especially with the weather, but DJ Ben was flexible and ready for anything.
He arrived early and set up on time, even prepared for a little light rain. DJ Ben’s timing was impeccable for everything—ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and after-party.
We got an upgraded package, and he added colored lights that created a fantastic atmosphere during the reception and dancing. We loved that he also had his own screen and projector so we could share our pre-wedding pictures and video presentation with our guests.
He played all our requested songs, including some Filipino tunes that were really important to us.
Throughout the planning, we had several phone calls to discuss our concerns about the weather, and he always reassured us, making the whole experience stress-free.
DJ Ben stayed until the very end, ensuring everyone had a great time. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ—he truly made our day unforgettable!

Best Wedding DJ
DJ Ben exceeded our expectations!! We had him as our wedding DJ and everyone had an amazing time. He reached out a few weeks prior to the wedding to coordinate some of our special requests (Hindi/Marathi music and a smash up for our first song). He acted as our MC and did an amazing job coordinating with the event staff to keep things on track. We are so grateful he was a part of our special day and cannot being to thank him enough. Everyone cannot stop talking about how much fun they had at the reception, and DJ Ben is a huge reason why the night went so well! He was recommended by our wedding planner and we are so glad we went with him. You are in good hands if you choose DJ Ben for your event and music/entertainment will not be something you have to worry about.

Played our song requests and made the whole pre-wedding process easy!
Ben was the DJ for our wedding on Saturday in Canmore and did a great job! Prior to the wedding he was very responsive and made it easy for us to specify what we wanted, including sending around a form for us to put our top song requests.
We were so impressed by all the music timing being spot on based on what we had asked for, and his selection of songs for the night (built around our requests as well as our guest’s requests). We had a great time, as did our friends and family! Would definitely recommend DJ Ben!

Hire DJ Ben! You will not regret it!
If you're looking for a wonderful, professional, fun, efficient DJ, Ben is your guy. From the planning process (we worked without a wedding planner) through to the last dance of the night Ben was perfect. His planning forms are so easy to work with to send him your song selections, and wherever we gave him free rein to play music as he saw fit, it fit our vibe like a glove.
Being a couple of non dancers ourselves, we weren't really looking at the dance part of the night as the main event, but Ben was so good it ended up being just as fun as the rest of the day. He had our parents dancing, and our incredibly shy 6 year old nephew had so much fun he even took a turn on the dance floor encircled by all our guests.
Ben is responsive, kind, and so good at his job. He even stepped in as emcee for us during dinner to take the pressure off our family and friends, and he did such a good job. He was attentive, hit every single one of his cues, and adjusted as necessary. Our reception ran so smoothly and working with Ben was such a pleasure, he really helped make the night fun and care free for us and our family.

Great experience!
The timing and execution of the music for the ceremony and the first dances during the reception were great. His planning process was thorough, and the communication before the event helped the day run smoothly. It was nice to have a mix of chosen songs and reliable DJ choice playlists for dinner, etc. On the day of, neither myself (the bride) nor the groom had to do anything or worry about anything related to the music or PA. I would 100% recommend DJ Ben for your wedding!

Amazing DJ
We had such an amazing experience with DJ Ben at our wedding reception as our DJ and MC. He kept the party going all night, played all our music requests and knew the exact types of music to play for our guests. He was easy to communicate with throughout the planning process and his online music programming system is so easy to use. Would highly recommend hiring DJ Ben for your wedding!

Made our wedding night the party of the year!
We had reached out to Dk Ben to do the music for our ceremony and reception. Given that music was my most important addition to my wedding, I knew it had to be a good dj. Ben did not disappoint! Our family raved about the music and professionalism he displayed throughout the night! He was even so generous as to honour rates given that we had booked almost 2 years in advance, and offered a discount when a freak accident occurred during our ceremony. None the less I would have never known there had to be some compromises made to salvage a low speaker battery, I carried on like the happy bride I was! Highly highly recommend!!!

In tune the whole day
What can I say, but he was fantastic. DJ Ben did our ceremony mic and our reception and was fantastic the whole way. Communication was fantastic, an online song request list was convenient and ensured no mistakes were made with our selections. We have an ethnic family and DJ Ben was able to ensure songs we wanted were played and the entire family enjoyed every moment. Highly recommend! A++ service!

It was absolutely great working with Ben. He was flexible, even played a bunch of polish songs we asked for. All of our guests were up and dancing all night. Would recommend!
