We are SO grateful to have found Tyler to be our DJ for our wedding. He came as a recommendation from our photographer, and we could not be happier with his services. From the first meeting he was easy to work with, was able to handle any sort of requests we had, and was able to make a perfect playlist that everyone at our wedding loved. Tyler and Oliver were amazing to work with from beginning to end. Our taste was slightly niched (disney with a little soca, a little r&b and a little 90s boy/girl bands) but they were so optimistic and willing to roll with the punches. Music was a major item on our list because it's always the first thing we notice at other weddings so we definitely took our time choosing and LOCALDJ did not disappoint. They came as a recommendation from our planner who thought they matched the energy we were looking for - a balance between a party DJ with experience in handling weddings. Our guests absolutely loved the whole set - from pre-ceremony all the way to the end. We're still getting comments of how impressed they were with Oliver transitioning the different genres. Tyler at Local DJ is the DJ of our DREAMS. The day was truly magical and he captured our musical journey of the day so perfectly. From the first dances to the never-ending party vibes, he curated the energy for the evening that we dreamt of. We hired Local DJ for our wedding in Calgary on October 9, 2022 - and it was the absolute best decision we could have made! From our first meeting with Tyler, we were in great hands. Tyler is so chill as a person, but totally, completely organized as a professional, and was so on top of all coordination from the start. In the lead-up to our wedding, as we worked through a few details (helping us find a live musician for the ceremony, and helping us figure out special music for our hora dance), he was so patient with the piles of detail we sent his way, and went out of his way to be helpful. On the day-of, Justin actually DJ’d our wedding, and got rave reviews from our guests - a kickass dance party! He read the room perfectly, capitalized on the music people were enjoying and played more of it, and snuck in all our special requests so that the whole evening felt personalized to us too. He was also super under the radar - he made the party happen behind the scenes, which was the perfect vibe. It was one of the best DJ experiences we’ve ever had at a wedding, people were dancing the entire night, and we were so impressed. Thank you, Local DJ team - we loved working with you!

Local DJ was everything we wanted and more! First off, Tyler asked to meet us for a drink a month before our wedding to talk about music and get an understanding of exactly what we wanted. My husband and I had particular music we liked and he stuck to that all night while mixing in other music when he saw fit. We had one amazing dance party, with the kids at 5pm and later in the evening. He can take all the credit!!

On top of this, Tyler was very responsive and ensured everything was organized and ready to go for a stress free day.

Without a doubt, hire Local DJ for your wedding!! Tyler managed our ceremony, reception, and an indoor and outdoor dance floor. His transition through all these roles and spaces was seamless. He did a fantastic job in the ceremony and reception – with perfect timing of all of our songs and audio. He kept the dance floor packed with guests of all ages throughout the whole evening. Our guests raved about him.
We especially appreciate the personal touch working with Tyler. He had a drink with us prior to our wedding to meet us and get acquainted with our music taste and the atmosphere that we wanted on our day. We cannot thank Tyler of Local DJ enough for the party that was delivered at our wedding this past Saturday. We truly had the most epic day and Tyler was there to deliver the music from the ceremony at 2pm all the way to last call at the end of the night. Tyler felt like a friend from the first time we met him, and by the end of the evening he felt like family. When we first met with Tyler we told him we wanted the dance floor to be packed all night and he delivered! If a song wasn't hitting right he would read the room and change it to get people hyped up again. I would recommend Local again and again! Our friends couldn't stop raving about the dance floor for days! He was a pleasure to work with!

Tyler was super responsive and professional to plan with and we had a great time at the wedding reception with his associate's DJing skills. We were given lots of support for the planning process and Tyler even helped me to arrange a surprise song for me to walk down the aisle to and surprise my now husband with. Such a great time they had to kick us off the dance floor at 2am - I didn't want the party to end!
