Meet the team
I have been DJing for 25 years and came to Canada in 1999 from Northern Ireland to pursue this dream. I began DJing in the 90s club scene in the UK, have played across Canada at various clubs and festivals and always try to remain on top of new technology. I am a student of the art of DJing and am always learning new ways to mix. I care about the creative process in both how music sounds and how it is presented. I launched Scottify Events in 2017 to supplement my income so that my wife could be at home with our new born daughter. Since then, the business has grown rapidly due to the quality of my services, the warm reviews I get from clients and my passion to work hard. I was the 2018 Winner of the DJ Category for Toronto by the International Wedding Awards. Now with 2 daughters, I hope that the continued success of Scottify Events will allow me to focus on the company full time as we roll out new and innovative services for our clients.
As a Toronto Radio personality, you may have heard Dames on your dial at 99.9 Virgin Radio or caught him on stage at some of Toronto's biggest nightclubs. With roots in Hip-Hop, RnB, and Top 40, Dames has performed in multiple nationwide concert tours with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Fabolous, Pusha-T, French Montana, Big Sean and J.Cole to name a few.
In addition to this, Dames has interviewed all the heavyweights in the music and entertainment business like Justin Timberlake, The Backstreet Boys, Shawn Mendes, Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman, Kevin Hart, Idris Elba and Ryan Reynolds. The list continues to grow.
Behind the scenes, Dames has a wife and a young son. He like fast cars and motor bikes, races go-karts and is known for always dressing super sharp. He knows a thing or two about fashion.
