  Amazing service

  Brides by Tara did a wonderful job with my wedding dress!! They have amazing customer service and they made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole process!

  Felt like a princess!!

  Tara and Lisa were lovely!! We got all the bridesmaids plus my gown from Tara’s shop and it was just beautiful. Even with a shipping challenge out of their control the ladies here went way above and beyond to make sure we got everything in time for the wedding. Every email, cal and appointment was met with patience, understanding and excitement for us! Up to the day I picked up my gown it was wonderful. Everyone looking for formal wear/a wedding gown needs to go to see Tara and Lisa (and everyone else in the shop too!!), they made me a princess for my wedding!!!

  I walked into Brides by Tara and instantly found the perfect dress. The staff were very helpful, and found the perfect accessories to compliment the whole look. I felt like a princess in my dress!

  Dream dress

  My dress was perfect. It arrived 2 weeks before my wedding. I'm pretty sure they forgot to order it as that was 2 months later than when they said it would be in.
  I felt bullied by the seamstress she wanted to charge $550 for 2 slight alterations.
  I took my dress to a different seamstress and it only cost $80.

  Outstanding!!

  I purchased by wedding dress from Brides by Tara and from the very first day- I was impressed! They truly make you feel like a princess while shopping. Being plus-sized I had a lot of anxiety going into the dress shopping experience but their Curve Boutique made it that I had plenty of options and no need for that awkward "imagine how this would look if it fit at all". My alterations were worry free and given a last minute family emergency I was even able to pick my dress up a week early without a second thought. They made my dress shopping nothing but picturesque and memorable, and for that I am very thankful! I would highly recommend this small business in Peterborough.

Long story short in my typical personal fashion, I jumped the gun and said yes to a dress at Tara's, and by the time I got home, had a mental breakdown when I realised it was wrong. Panicked. Called the store and begged and pleaded to have the order cancelled... Tara was amazing at calming me down and she let me know that the order hasnt gone through yet so no problem cancelling. Little did I know, tara didnt have that specific dress in store... but she called the designers wearhouse and had it loaned to her from VANCOUVER (I'm in Ontario btw) just for me to try on. Talk about going above and beyond. Needless to say I ended up buying that dress instead. Thankyou tara for turning a wildly saddening situation into an amazing experience!

They have a huge selection of Venus dresses and I was really hoping they would have some from their modest collection. They didn’t, but everything worked out even better than I had expected! Despite not having an appointment, I received excellent customer service. My consultant (I think her name was Jennifer, but I might be misremembering) was so helpful and incredibly patient. I even went back and forth between that one and a cheaper one. They even kept the store open an extra hour for me to make up my mind. Looking back, I’m not sure how I could have picked any other dress, but I’m so grateful they gave me the time so that I didn’t have any regrets later. If it weren’t a three hour drive I would have gladly had my alterations done there and brought my bridesmaids there. I definitely recommend checking it out!
