So unlike all the other shops that are so fake and begging for your business, Fern and her team are genuine and helpful beyond measure and being in a charming old character house made it feel even that much more special. I loved my dress and the cost of alterations and accessories were very reasonable. I am so thrilled I bought there.

The woman who owns this shop is an absolute nightmare. Not only did she double book my friend multiple times (who had to drive 2+ hours to get to the shop) SHE COMPLETELY RUINED HER WEDDING DRESS 2 WEEKS BEFORE HER WEDDING. She used a sewing machine for alterations that had just been serviced and got BLACK OIL ALL OVER HER DRESS. After dry cleaning it, she said it was fine but there were very obvious marks all over her dress still. She then suggested PUTTING IT IN A WASHING MACHINE. Are you kidding me?! She was extremely unaccommodating and unapologetic about her massive fuck up. Whatever you do, DO NOT visit this store.

I am so glad I made the ferry trip to visit The Bride's Closet. Fern is so friendly and accommodating, and her husband was so kind in picking my sister and I up from the ferry so we could just walk on and had chauffeur service to and from the shop! Fern has a beautiful selection of dresses (lots of boho-style ones too!) that are detailed and high-quality while still being absolutely affordable. A gem of a store. If you're on the mainland and debating whether or not to make the trip over there do it!

Fern made my experience finding a dress AMAZING...literally, I'm kind of hard to please, cause I'm not so into the girly girl stuff...but she worked with me, and in the end, customized the dress of my dreams! I highly recommend this business!

My experience with The Bride’s Closet Started with a photo online of a dress I just had to have. When I found out that the Bride’s Closet carried the designer’s collection I was over the moon, especially knowing that the store was in my town! I quickly sent a Facebook message asking if they carried the Fellini dress style Y21656. Got a response in a matter of hours saying they have the dress and even in my size. I made and appointment for a few weeks later when my mum was in town and did try on a lot of dresses as well as the dress I was there to see. Fern was so helpful and amazing putting me in many dresses and styles for my family and friends even though her and I both knew the first one I came in for was the one! Everything from Alterations Bridesmaid skirts cleaning and many wedding conversations has been amazing and made my day have one less thing to worry about. These guys were great and were very patient when it took me forever to make up my mind. The alterations to my dress were perfect and the location was convienuent. No pressure to buy great natural lighting in the store.

Fern and all the ladies at the Bride's Closet were amazing. I had an amazing dress shopping experience here. I must have tried on a dozen dresses and they were patient and kept bringing me new ones in different styles.
One hugely amazing thing here was they only brought me dresses that were in my budget! I went to a few other stores that didn't keep this in mind and brought me dresses that were like twice my budget.
The house they are in is a little heritage building and has the best atmosphere for dress shopping. They are a small business and really personalize the shopping experience.
They do all their fittings in house and I ended up going in for several fittings as I lost a lot of weight between buying the dress and the wedding. In the end it fit perfectly.
It was really nice shopping with them and I would 100% recommend them to anyone!

It was the place I went too and the very first dress I tried on! I went back there after 2 awful experiences elsewhere being left in tears and heading home when my mother and mother in-law suggested I go back to Bride's Closet right then! My intention was to make an another appt to try the dress on but when I arrived I handed the card with the dress info and she said you can try it on again right now if you would like! I was thrilled!!! the professionalism here was a 10/10 and the warm cozy home feeling you feel when your inside the boutique made me feel like a dream came true! I even got to say "YES to the dress" the veils they have there ready to be purchased are beautiful! they just put the veils on you! I felt like a princess for a day! Love Brides Closet. Highly recommended.

My sister had a dream dress in mind that was out of her price range but Fern made sure to find something as close as possible for a lower cost. My sister looked amazing on her big day and her dress was stunning!

I purchased my Annais dress from the Bride's Closet - it was love! We made a few changes to the dress, and Fern used her creative ideas to shape the dress into the perfect gown. Quite a few alterations were done, and most of the time, they were great. We had to have the bustle and hem redone as they bustle buttons were too low and the hem was not cut straight, but they fixed it within an hour for me! They responded best to my email requests. I loved going into the store - so rustic and quiet. I also love how all of the sample gowns are in bags... that kind of care really goes a long way.
