They made my mother's dress 30 years ago and then redid it for my big day. I was very happy with how they executed on my vision for redoing my mother's dress, despite me being larger. They were so helpful and we went through multiple fittings. At the final fitting, a month before the wedding everything was perfect. There were two issues day of - the lining they added back in was too small - I could not get the dress over my hips, and we did end up needing to rip the seams of the lining just to get it laying properly, which was unfortunate, but luckily not visible. The bustle hooks were also not sturdy enough -... -

Amazing! And flexible
My experience with Kim and team has been amazing!
First off… I’m 5’2” and a size 14 so finding anything off the rack was nearly impossible!
Like everyone else… i came to see kim and we talked and as we talked she sketched and by the end she had drew my “dream dress”! But then… COVID hit…. Literally a few weeks after we ordered my fabric. So over 2 years later i came back to finally get my dress (having had a baby in between).
At now 40 (i was 37 when first met kim) and after two kids my style had changed. The beautiful satin gown of my first drawing wasn’t me anymore… so kim and... -

My mom and I both contacted Kim about a year before my wedding day in 2020 to create both of our dresses. For my mom and I the fit was absolutely key for our dresses, and after trying on so many gowns prior, I knew I wouldn't be able to find a gown that would fit as well as a custom made one. My mom and I first met Kim at The Wedding Co. show just before Covid, and seeing her sitting and sketching dresses live, I knew she was the one who could make anyone's dress dreams come true!

Where do I begin?! Kim and her team truly make your wedding dreams come true. In the middle of a pandemic, they were able to find and alter my dream dress. I had all confidence in Valencienne from the very first moment I walked into the store after visiting virtually every salon in the city. I can’t express how grateful and happy I am with my dress! I feel so blessed to be a Valencienne bride! -

Wedding gown fairy godmother!
Wedding gown fairy godmother !!! It was such a journey with Kim and her team - Sonia and Sara. They tried everything to make sure you are super happy to walk down the aisle with your dream dress.You ask and they deliver! As simple as that. Now with their new location, I am sure it would be even more fantastic!! Thank you so much Kim, Sonia and Sara.

I have tried a minimum of 50 dresses at various stores between Hamilton and Toronto. All the dresses I tried on were not unique enough for my dream wedding in Santorini. I knew which dress I was interested in in Valencienne Bridal. I first saw a photo of the dress on their website. Luckily the dress was available in the store a few days before my appointment. I was the first one trying the dress. After that day, I couldn’t stop thinking of the Valencienne dress, and I knew I finally found my dream DRESS.

I had a very specific vision for my wedding dress. I also have some experience with sewing, making and wearing ballet costumes, so I knew exactly what and how I wanted it to be - a nightmare client combination!
For Kim and her team this was easy. The clear and consistent communication built trust between the two of us - Kim took every note and thought I had very seriously and I was able to trust her judgement and artistry. The end result was a dress I LOVED and made me feel like a queen.

I must have tried on at least 50 dresses at 8 different shops before coming to Valencienne, and couldn't find the dress of my dreams. There was always something I wanted to tweak with each dress I tried on. There was a dress that was almost perfect, but there were some details about it I did not like. I brought my dilemma to Kim and showed her pictures of my almost perfect dress. She listened to my concerns and was able to help me tweaked the dress to perfection.
