Often it's said the ceremony is all about how the bride looks in her dress and how the groom cleans up but the reception is where it's all about your guests.

How I work

Whats one way to bomb a wedding? By reading off a paper and hiding behind the podium. Making the words fly off the page is essential to keep everyone engaged. You have a bit of leeway when it comes to your vows, MOH speeches and Best Man speeches because they are carefully written and prepared.

However as an MC there is zero tolerence. They are the quarterback to your reception.

Having a friend or family MC your event is a risk as it's guaranteed they will just read off of your agenda and get through it as fast as they can, and a photobooth is simply just not enough to entertain your guests. A DJ standing in the corner with headphones and doesn't know how to work the crowd is a problem too.
