Located in Coquitlam, British Columbia, the wedding florist and event planning company not only provides flowers, but also offers day-of wedding coordination. The shop’s designs reflect various styles, such as classic, country, glamorous, modern, romantic, and rustic. Flowerella was founded by Marlee Van Oord, a certified florist and event planner.
Experience
Marlee started working in the events industry in 2010 as a floral assistant at Bridal Beginnings Event Florals. She then went to work at Westwood Plateau Golf and Country Club, where still works as the Special Events Manager. She has also received several credentials from Douglas College, Burnaby School Board, and CDI College for her event management and coordination diploma, as well as her floral certification. Marlee’s work has been featured by Style Me Pretty and Elegant Wedding.

Marlee had no issues understanding what we envisioned for our wedding and executed everything perfectly. As someone who does not easily cry, Marlee was simply so amazing that she made me, as the bride, cry immediately as I exited the ceremony and spotted her!

I am the proud owner and operator of Flowerella Events. I started my business in 2013 as a creative hobby and have enjoyed bringing my couple's floral vision come to life.
I also offer day of wedding coordination services as I absolutely love assisting make my couple's weddings run smoothly and see their love story develop into their new adventure as husband and wife.
