WOW! WOW! WOW! Janie just did our wedding June 8, 2024. She was highly recommended to me and I am so incredibly glad that we were able to work with Janie for our wedding!!

Words cannot begin to describe how phenomenal it has been working with Janie!! She is so kind, patient and always listening to any ideas you might have. She has spent countless hours emailing, texting and even doing a site visit for our venue. Every single time I would email Janie she was so responsive, attentive and so willing to go above and beyond in order to make our vision a reality! Janie has been an absolute dream to work with and by far the best vendor we have had to work with!! I cannot recommend Janie and Flowers by Janie enough!!!

Our flowers were by far the most commented thing we did at our wedding. Everyone LOVED our flowers and was asking who did them as they look absolutely incredible and stunning!! Our flowers were the absolute masterpiece of our wedding and I cannot begin to even describe how much praise we got for them!!

We ordered a tall flower bouquet on a gold Harlow stand for our entrance - and WOW it was an absolute show stopper!! We also ordered flowers and greenary for our centrepieces and I cannot think of more gorgeous centrepieces from what we got! The first time I saw our flowers they took my breath away and I started crying. Our center pieces fit beautifully with the rest of our decor and made our wedding stand out! We also ordered bride bouquet/ bridesmaid, corsage and boutonnières - even our groomsmen and groom noticed how stunning the boutonnières were!! My bouquet was an absolute show stopper with how beautifully Janie assembled it! It had roses, geenary, peonies and other flowers that captured my vision exactly!!

Our colours were gold and lilac and wow - Janie exceed all expectations!! The colours and flowers that Janie has picked out for our bouquets and centrepieces were INCREDIBLE and I was beyond speechless! She did a phenomenal job picking out various shades of pinks and purples for flowers as well as the combination of flowers!!

I am starting to tear up thinking about our flowers once again!! I was so incredibly honoured to get the privilege of working with Janie!!! Janie, I truly cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for our wedding!! You have created a masterpiece and artwork for our wedding and it has been such a joy getting to know you the past few months!! I cannot recommend Flowers by Janie enough!! This was by far the best decision we could have made for our wedding!!

Janie truly went above and beyond for our wedding weekend. Janie was recommended to us by our wedding planner Lesley Plumley, founder and owner of LP Events, a major full-service, award-winning event planning firm here in Calgary. We trusted Lesley implicitly and her recommendation for Janie’s services was spot on. 



Janie’s creations truly transformed our wedding, as well as the events we had leading up to and after the wedding (she was so good we procured her services got all our events). What she delivered was truly something I could only picture in my mind up until that point. I have never in my life seen such beautiful floral creations. They actually made me cry the first time I saw the mock-ups in her studio when I realized how beautiful our wedding was going to be. 



We wanted big, full romantic florals in abundance that had asymmetry and almost something a bit wild and unique about them. She incorporated beautiful full flowers with orchids that cascaded down to add some additional visual interest. 



Quickly, the florals became the focal point of our wedding decor and I’m so grateful. To this day I have people comment on how incredible our flowers were.

Our colour palette was also very romantic, with a lot of yellows and whites and warm peach tones as well as some pops of pink. Janie really helped advise us on how to bring in colour for interest while still making the arrangements so elegant and dreamy. 



We had Janie create a floor arch, as well as several larger and smaller arrangements at various locations within the ballroom, on our welcome sign, at the end of the aisle, at the bar, at the sweetheart table and at guests’ tables. We also had her do the bride and bridesmaid bouquets, corsages for the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom, boutineers for all the groomsmen and father of the bride and father of the groom. Everything was immaculate and gorgeous. 



Janie also came to our brunch the next day and created several beautiful floating arrangements for the pool in line with our romantic theme.

You can tell how much pride and passion Janie has for what she does. She is also so lovely and easy to work with - she made the experience enjoyable and fun. I really felt she had our best interests in mind and was focused on producing something really beautiful based on what we wanted. We gave her a lot of creative freedom as she’s the expert and we were not disappointed.

From her floral suppliers, to her garden, to the various vessels she has to fit any wedding aesthetic: Janie will be able to achieve any vision you have … but I would highly recommend letting her have creative license to show you just how beautiful your event can be.

I had an excellent experience with Janie from start to finish. She is very communicative, thoughtful, and provides detailed responses and ideas along the way. We got multiple floral quotes and prices were reasonable for the level of service provided. I appreciated her detailed proposal with photos and inspiration. Her floral arrangements are a work of art, and she made sure the flowers held up in the cold and wind and still looked gorgeous inside for the reception. Janie was amazing to work with! From our initial zoom call we knew we chose right. Just by showing her a few pictures of ideas that we had she created arrangements that fit us perfectly. The flowers themselves were so stunning and elegant, they really felt like something out of a fairytale. She is clearly passionate about what she does and will make your wedding day special. We highly recommend her.

I think it's great advice when planning your wedding to choose the top 3 things that are most important to you, and plan/budget around those things. For us, it was having a great venue, a string quartet, and beautiful flowers. I would choose the same 3 things again, starting with Flowers by Janie. Even though I love flowers, I would not have imagined how these beautiful floral arrangements would elevate everyone's experience, both ours and our guests. I did not cry at my own wedding, but I did cry afterwards when I was thanking Janie for her amazing work. She used a fabulous array of types of flowers (ranunculus, peonies, roses, sweet peas, and so many more), and all sorts of bright spring/summer colours, and I have never seen more gorgeous arrangements even in a magazine. The photos just don't do them justice, as they also smelled amazing. I had flowers in my hair, on the wedding cake, in vintage vases at the reception...our guests are still talking about it. I am still talking about it! It's really true that Janie makes her arrangements with so much love, and you feel it. She is an award-winning florist and she deserves all the recognition. We feel so very privileged and blessed to have had Janie as our wedding florist.

Janie has exceptional talent and knowledge with the ability to create magnificent art with flowers. She is incredibly dedicated to her clients and her ability to understand their needs is deserved of recognition. My flower dream was truly brought to reality.

Janie was able to aquire everything I wanted and more. She brought Tokyo to Calgary and sourced Japanese bred roses in the most beautiful colours. I went from being a bride who knew nothing to understanding where flowers come from and how florists work with farms. I was proud to share the knowledge with my guests.
