She is renowned across Canada and the United States as a leader in her field and is a founding member of the Canadian Academy of Floral Art (CAFA), as well as an active member of the prestigious American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD). A respected community leader and business person, Joanne has been nominated several times for Ottawa’s Business Woman of the Year. Mill Street Florist has been voted Ottawa’s Best Florist twice and has been awarded the Bronze Medal for Ottawa’s Small Business of the Year. Many Canadian and international magazines have featured Joanne and her team’s work. Joanne is also a regular contributor to Homes & Gardens West and mentors budding young businesswomen, encouraging young people to study floriculture.
