Here are a few awesome small wedding venues in Victoria.
Coast Victoria Hotel & Marina by APA (146 Kingston Street)
The Coast Victoria Hotel & Marina by APA is a classic hotel wedding venue with killer waterfront views. It has two spaces available for indoor celebrations: the ballroom (which has a capacity of 120 guests), the North Coast room (which has a capacity of 60 guests). Both are elegantly decorated with simple, modern decor and can be easily transformed for your big day. If you’d prefer to bring the party outdoors, there’s also an expansive patio that overlooks the marina. It’s ideal for small ceremonies, wedding photo backdrops, or a more casual BBQ reception.
Pendray Inn & Tea House (309 Belleville Street)
The Pendray Inn, which used to be named Gatsby Mansion, is the perfect small wedding venue for a vintage theme. The Victorian mansion was built in 1897 and still has some of its original decor. Inside you’ll find wood-panelled walls, sparkling chandeliers, stained glass windows and period furniture that’ll transport you and your guests back to a simpler time. If you’re in the market for an outdoor wedding venue, it has plenty of lawn space with ponds, cobblestone pathways and manicured gardens. As for size, it’s large enough to accommodate up to 80 of your nearest and dearest.
Amethyst Inn at Regents Park (1501 Fort Street)
Amethyst Inn at Regents Park is another adorable small Victoria wedding venue with vintage style. This Victorian manor house was built in 1885 and still looks like it was plucked from the pages of a history book. It’s furnished with period pieces and antiques, giving it that old-timey charm we all know and love (there are also working fireplaces in almost every room, which is great for the colder months). It has a number of event spaces available for celebrations and can fit up to 30 guests. Bonus: you and your partner will get to stay the night in a four-poster bed!
The Oswego Hotel (500 Oswego Street)
The Oswego Hotel is a modern, luxurious boutique hotel that’s perfect for micro weddings and elopements. It’s located in the heart of the city, just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the Inner Harbour, making it super easy for your guests to get to. On your big day, you’ll get full use of its penthouse suite, which boasts contemporary decor and an expansive patio. You’ll be able to squeeze in up to 25 guests, so you’ll want to keep your guest list, like, really short. P.S. If you purchase a wedding package here, you’ll also get a two-night stay in one of its premium suites, so you can start your honeymoon in style.
Fortune Gallery (537 Fisgard Street)
If you’re on the hunt for a small Victoria wedding venue with some serious industrial-chic flair, look no further than Fortune Gallery. This ultra-cool spot boasts exposed brick walls, light wood accents, concrete flooring, and is pretty much a blank canvas when it comes to decor. The front of the building is almost completely made of windows, so you’ll get plenty of natural light for your wedding photos, too (you’re welcome, photographer!). As for capacity, the space is big enough to fit up to 75 guests for a seated wedding reception.
The Gardens at HCP (505 Quayle Road)
Looking for a more natural outdoor wedding venue in Victoria? Well, it sounds like The Gardens at HCP will be right up your alley. The beautifully-manicured park venue features packed flower beds, bridges, ponds, secret pathways, and more - heck, it’s even home to the largest outdoor bonsai garden in Canada, which is pretty cool. There are plenty of spots to choose from for your open-air ceremony, and for your reception, you’ll move into the Couvelier Pavilion, which has some seriously stunning rustic-chic vibes. It’s large enough to accommodate up to 100 seated guests.
