NEVER GOT MY RING!
if wedding planning isn't stressful enough but ordering my wedding band from here made my stress and anxiety 100 times worse. I ordered my custom ring back in December and had to buy a wedding band from elsewhere as I did not get it in August! There was minimal communication and I had to reach out about 10 times through phone, email and messaging to get any answers, I was always told a "couple of weeks" every time and once that passed I was told another timeline if I could even get a hold of them. I found them very defensive and always blaming something (ie was on vacation, production delays, low staffing etc..), it was suppose to be done within 5 weeks but 9 months later and nothing... My fiancé ordered my engagement ring from here so I thought everything would go smoothly but now I would never recommend this business to anyone. I highly suggest looking at different places to order your rings from. I love to support local but ordering from here just caused more problems, there are other small business you can order from that are 100 times better.

TLDR: Don’t waste your money or time here.

After purchasing a simple wedding band in August, over the next 9 months I experienced horrible customer service, outright lies about the status of my ring and timeline of delivery, and weeks without information or responses to my calls, emails and messages. When I was able to reach staff (who were extremely unprofessional) excuses for delays in my ring arriving included goldsmith issues (multiple times), Honest Solitaire needing to send BACK the ring as they messed up sizing for one of their orders, and at times simply an “I have no idea what’s happening I’ll ask the owner to call you.” I never received a single call or email from the owner. When my ring ultimately did arrive (not in time for my wedding and after weeks and weeks of almost daily calls begging for updates) it was in extremely poor condition- resizing was clearly incomplete as the yellow gold was showing on my white gold ring. No rhodium plating or smoothing and polishing was done and the ring wasn’t even ROUND. To top it off, Honest Solitaire had promised to send a pair of earrings with the ring as a “show of good faith” for my patience throughout the process…no surprise the earrings never came either.

Weddings are supposed to be joyful and exciting times celebrating love and the experience I received from Honest Solitaire was nothing but stress, frustration and ultimately extreme disappointment.

The people over at Honest helped out quite a bit in the beginning stages of my order. They were very attentive and helped me pick the right ring for my fiancé. My only complaint is that once the ring was purchased, they did not update me on the status of the ring. I was constantly having to reach out to inquire about it and sometimes wouldn’t get a response for a few days. This all could be due to the pandemic, but when it showed up it was everything I wanted and more. I would highly recommend to someone that is looking to get their dream ring, not at the dream ring price.

Not sure about their past issues, I was sure to order something in stock, not custom designed. I got the Ami ring in oval, yellow metal and I got it in 8 days (I live in Ontario, they shipped from Calgary it looks like).

Ring is beautiful, well made, stone is clear, local store checked it out and said everything is up to par. Would recommend on my personal experience.

My fiancée told me that he was looking to support a local company but he read some of the reviews from Honest Solitaire and was leery about some of the negative comments. Mind you there were plenty of positive comments too. He took a look at their Instagram photos and they had some great photos. Their website was so easy to use and ordering a custom ring for me was so easy and my fiancée got such an amazing deal too. I LOVE LOVE my simple gold band with a gorgeous brilliant cut. It shines so "Bright like a diamond". Overall we are so happy with the end result and highly recommend this company. Hey, things happen and sometimes things fall through the cracks, we can only try to make everyone happy, ALL THE TIME! We had an amazing experience with Honest Solitaire, highly recommend!

My friend referred me to the Honest Solitaire and I am forever grateful. They were patient and super friendly and help me create exactly what I wanted. Now I get to show off my one of a kind forever and I couldn’t be happier.

Sad to see some of the other stories here. The owner politely asked me for a review after I received my rings so here it is.

They explained to me the issues they had at the end of 2022 and most of 2023. I understand. They are a small local business. To be honest the first time I ordered they were in a tiny office they rented part time. I was happy to see them grow into a bigger office and eventually a store (where I ordered wedding bands in 2023, yes very late delivery). Overall though, they provided me with loaner bands when mine were late. This was great. My first purchase in 2019 went very smoothly and I received an amazing pear ring for my wife. All my final products are great and I’ve had no issues. I still recommend this small business and hope to see them on their feet again.

This business basically took our money from us and is reported to the BBB. No longer in business I believe. Avoid avoid avoid

I am highly suspicious of the 4 and 5 star ratings on here.

Don't put yourself through the stress. They do not respond to phonecards or emails. When they do they are unprofessional
