Elisa, founder and lead stylist of Coccola beauty did my hair for 6 of my wedding events (I had a large wedding). She also styled my sister, mother and bridesmaids.

I cannot explain how amazing she was / is. In particular, her
1. Creativity is excellent. I needed to look different each event and I did. It also still looked bridal and pretty.
2. Price point is fantastic
3. Versatility is excellent. My mom sister and I all had very different hair needs and she personally conquered all.
4. Personality is hilarious and great. She really helps you stay calm and happy during pivotal events.

For my main wedding day I booked her services all day for myself, family and bridesmaids. She accompanied us to the church, through all our photos and then got me ready again for my reception. This was the best decision I ever made. I had no bad photos (even my photographer said this was so useful given the wind) and felt like a celebrity being pampered all day! I’d highly recommend this if available to you.

Elissa does amazing work. Though we had a few communication hurdles early on (I think she was redoing her brand/website at the time), once she told me just to text her with questions/etc it was no problem, she also easily changed plans for me because of COVID-19. She is friendly and passionate about her work and on the day of my wedding did an amazing job on my group's hair. My MOH doesn't have a lot of hair and was amazed by how thick and full Elissa managed to make it look in an up-do. My perfectly straight hair doesn't love to hold a curl but my hair held up all day and night – something few people have managed to do. I would highly recommend Elissa.

I had contacted Elisa through a recommendation from someone and reached out to her via email on her website. I wanted to use her for my hair for my wedding. I didnt hear back from her for 14 days and had to reach out to the person who recommended her in order to finally make contact. She then got in touch with me and did my hair trial but didnt send me photos from it. I had also disclosed to Elisa that I wasn't sure how many of my wedding party would be getting their hair done by her as it was a little pricey. A month out from my wedding I finally had a lock down that only 3 girls may get their hair done but that I was the only one for sure. I contacted her to let her know and she said she had a 5 girl minimum. I told her this was never disclosed to me so I would have to cancel as I didnt want to force my girls to spend more than they could. She said okay. I asked for my deposit back as she originally told me the deposit just reserves the day for my wedding as well as it counting as part of the price for my bridal hairstyle on the day of my wedding. She said it was non refundable. I asked her where was that ever written to relay to me that it was nonrefundable. She agreed it wasnt disclosed anywhere and she agreed to refund me the deposit.

She never gave me my deposit back.

The lack of contact, communication and understanding was beyond unprofessional and super stressful to deal with a month out from my wedding. This was added to the stress of having to search for someone else to do my hair last minute.

She also never apologized. The closest she got to apologizing was admitting there was miscommunication.

I dont have social media at all and I dont want to blast her, but I did want to write a review so other girls would be aware of what happened to me could happen to them.

I was in need of a hair and makeup stylist four months before getting married, and I looked up coccola as they were located in Hamilton and catered to the Niagara region where my wedding was taking place. They immediately made space for me and I was so glad they did because they did an amazing job! Elissa did my hair and Keisha did my makeup, and they listened to my request and made it better! I felt so beautiful on my wedding thanks to them! They also did my bridal party’s hair and makeup and they all looked amazing! The prices were reasonable and honestly, they were more than accommodating. Thank you Elissa and Keisha! I will definitely recommend coccola to anyone who’s looking for hair and makeup!
