Deanna Harnett is a Toronto, Ontario-based makeup artist and hair stylist who considers it a huge privilege to work with brides to create the look of their dreams. She believes that makeup is an empowering tool that helps a woman discover her true self, and not just a mere means of concealing her flaws. Deanna developed an interest in beauty at a young age and has always had a liking for colors and textures, which also happens to be one of her strengths as a makeup artist.

Experience

Deanna completed her graduation from the hairstyling program at Fiorio Beauty Academy. She has worked as a makeup artist for MAC Cosmetics and represented brands like Inglot Cosmetics. In addition to this, Deanna has also collaborated on projects for Schwarzkopf, Vidal Sassoon, Sony Music Canada, Much Music Video Awards Red Carpet, Worn Fashion Journal, OUTtv, and Stila Cosmetics.

Amazing work and customer service!!

Deanna is an amazing hair stylist and makeup artist. I wanted to keep my hair's natural texture, and had been told by other hair stylists I asked that they would have to straighten my hair then re-curl it. Deanna assured me that that was completely unnecessary. She knew exactly how to work with my curly hair and created a beautiful hairstyle that was recognizably me :)
I am sure Deanna can do it all, but if you are looking for a natural and glowing wedding makeup vibe like I was, she will do a fantastic job. I also asked her to help with my bridesmaids' and mom's hair and makeup. She had an associate come to help, and got it all done in the time we had before the photographer showed up. Deanna comes right to your house - no need to go anywhere on an already hectic day. Deanna and her associates are also incredibly friendly and lovely. Feels like they're one of the girlfriends!! On a very important note, the makeup and hair stayed put all night, after many hours of pictures, eating and dancing. Thank you Deanna for everything!!

Bridesmaid hair & makeup

Deanna did an amazing job! As the bridesmaid, I went with a more vintage look and she nailed it while still keeping it light.
I wore a headband fascinator which she incorporated into a full body of beautiful curls - not easy as I have very thin hair!
The bride looked beautiful as well and was absolutely glowing.
We received many compliments throughout the night.

I have known Deanna for a few years now, but only on a personal level. Although I already knew she was a nice, sweet, fun person, I didn't know what to expect when I booked her to do my hair and makeup for my wedding! But I must say, Deanna exceeded my expectations with her professionalism and expertise. She was quick to answer all my emails (and a million questions) and super flexible with my schedule. Everyone was super happy with the end result, and I especially loved my little touch up bag! Thanks, Deanna!

Deanna was a total pro on my wedding day! My makeup was flawless and lasted all day and night! She also did the makeup and hair for my sisters and sister-in-law. Everyone was impressed by her talent and professionalism! I would highly recommend Deanna for your makeup and hairstyling needs!

Deanna was amazing! She looked after hair for 8 people for my sister Schyler's wedding. I was the first appointment and had never had my hair "done" before, I had no real vision for myself and was frankly nervous. I showed Deanna the dress I was planning on wearing, she asked two questions. "Up or down do?" and "What side do you part your hair?" Then she went to work. I couldn't have been more impressed!
Not only did we all love our hair, we loved her as well. She's was warm and personable and rose to the challenge which I'm sure can be super stressful when meeting and working with strangers with big wedding day expectations.
I was TRANSFORMED!

Deanna is amazing!! She was an absolute pleasure to work with. Deanna had previously done my makeup at another friend's wedding and I was so happy to work with her again for my wedding. During my trial, she was very receptive to the look I was going for and was able to nail the hair and makeup look I was going for better than I could have imagined. She is incredibly skilled and talented at what she does. I could not have looked better on my wedding day and the look lasted the entire day. Deanna was also very accommodating and was able to be flexible as the number of people getting hair and makeup at my wedding changed. Lastly, Deanna is a joy to be around. She totally put me at ease on my wedding day and was extremely warm and attentive. I can't recommend Deanna highly enough.

Deanna was fantastic. I was really nervous about hiring a make-up artist and she allayed all of my fears about it. She got back to me right away when I first contacted her, and was always available for questions and scheduling. On my wedding day she was prompt, even though coming way out of town, and relaxed. She made me and everyone in my wedding feel and look great, while still looking and feeling like ourselves. I 100% recommend Deanna, she's very talented, uses great products, and is the kind of person you want to have around on a big day like a wedding. Thanks Deanna!

Deanna was by far one of the easiest vendors to work with. She is so friendly and professional. I showed Deanna pictures of what I hoped my make-up would look like and she was able to give me so much more. I felt so beautiful and natural on my wedding day, thanks to Deanna's wonderful work. I recommend having a trial with her first, as that was the time Deanna worked with me to make adjustments to my look, advise me, and play around with colour. Having the trial allowed for a stress-free wedding day. She knew exactly what to do and say to help calm any nerves on the big day. Deanna's services did make up for about 7 people (ages 13- 50). Everyone was beyond happy with their make up, even some who don't wear make up regularly. Deanna knew just how to make everyone look and feel beautiful and comfortable. She really did enhance everyone's natural beauty. Overall, I truly believe Deanna is wonderful at what she does. I would definitely recommend her for anyone looking for a fun, professional and kind make up artist who truly listens to each person's unique wants/needs.

Deanna is AMAZING!!!
She did my hair and makeup for the Bridal Shower which I absolutely loved and was the hairstylist for all 3 bridesmaids, mom, 2 sisters and myself the day of the wedding. Each and every one of us looked great and we couldn't have been happier.
I would highly recommend Deanna for hair and makeup, she is super talented, friendly, patient and accommodating. You will NOT be disappointed if you book Deanna for you wedding or any special occasion.

Absolutely fabulous! Deanna did hair and make up for 7 of us for a recent wedding. We ranged in age from 18-75, and each of us came with different visions of what we wanted. Deanna was attentive to our requests and left us all feeling beautiful and relaxed - even those of us who rarely wear make-up and balked at the thought of a full face! Deanna is professional, meticulous and a bundle of joy to have around on a stressful day. I will definitely use her services again.
