September 2023 wedding

Paje and the team at Honor Beauty were top notch and made us all feel so beautiful. The hair and makeup trial went amazing and Paje really listened to what I wanted, what makeup I felt comfortable with, and followed up and made modifications based on how my hair and makeup lasted throughout the day even after I left her home studio. She wasn't afraid to tell me no when I brought pictures of hairstyles that wouldn't work well with my hair type, which I appreciated because it was very helpful in the end!

On the day of the wedding, she and the whole team were on time, efficient and prepared and had us all looking our best with extra time to spare so we weren't stressed at any point. Thank you!

A palette of diversity and skill!

When I started looking around for a hair and make up artist within Niagara, I struggled to find one who showcased diversity and inclusivity. Working with different skin tones takes a lot of skill and understanding, and I was struggling to find that in Niagara. I came across Honor Beauty and I was amazed at the artistry that Paje and her team shared!! I saw individuals of all shapes, sizes of colours on their social media!!! Paje has done an outstanding job and not only building up a prestigious company of talented artists, but also gives back to the Niagara community and supports LGTBQIA2S+ and BIPOC organizations!
I was lucky enough to have Paje do my hair and make up, which gave me an extra sense of comfort!! She is super down to earth and wants to ensure that you always feel and look your best!!

Overly expensive trials- read!!

Their organisation leading up to the day got better… So they are aware and trying to make changes.

However, $200 per person for one make up trial is ridiculous. In their informational brochure they talk about doing two looks… If needed. However, when they only book the artist for a certain amount of time, they know that there are certain amount of hours max that the make up artist is going to work. I unfortunately ended up paying $200 for just a make up trial which took about an hour. I would suggest hiring them for both services and that way if you do a trial, it is $100 for Hair and $100 for make up.

We’d love to clarify and help others reading this review understand our business practices so that it won’t lead to any future confusion when booking with us. We adore every client who trusts us for their wedding day, and want to ensure they’re happy from beginning to end!

You mentioned our organization leading up to the day, and I wanted to touch on this is it’s a false statement. We’re an extremely organized company with an amazing assistant who is dedicated to answering all emails and booking info. It’s something that specifically sets us apart and helps to create a seamless experience with us from start to finish. Sometimes clients have unrealistic expectations with response times so we always communicate that during peak season responses can take up to two full business days (not including Fri-Sun since we’re out of office doing what we do best ❤️).

The second part of this review is accurate however. Our 2023 information package has a 1-2 hour time slot for booking a trial at $200. This appointment is to spend creating your perfect hair and/or makeup look and can be used for any of the following: 1 hour makeup + 1 hour hair, or 2 makeup looks, or 2 hair looks.
Sometimes clients are satisfied after their first makeup look and do not require a second look so the full 2 hours is not used completely. This is described and outlined in our info package very clearly, but we also always invite our amazing clients to ask us any questions or bring up concerns before signing a contract with us so that everyone’s on the same page and excited to work with our team for their special day! 🫶🏼

Paje and her team did a fantastic job!

All of the girls loved their hair and makeup and looked stunning! The honor beauty team did an amazing job and also was ahead of schedule which was perfect for the day!

Incredibly Talented Artist

Paje & her team at Honor Beauty far exceeded our expectations! While we had only heard incredible things about the team from our other vendors in the area, we were still surprised at just how professional and talented Paje and her team were. She was kind, made sure to help keep us on schedule while not pushing us, and made everyone look beyond beautiful. Our hair and makeup stayed fresh and beautiful all day long. She was an incredible find and we are so lucky to have had her help for our special day!

Wedding Hair & Makeup

Paje and the Honor Beauty team were lovely to work with! Paje was accommodating throughout our wedding date being pushed twice during covid.

The only hiccup was during the week of our wedding I was told Paje had to come to do my hair and makeup at 8:30am as opposed to the agreed upon 12pm time, as she had another bride’s hair and makeup to do after mine. With our wedding not being until 4pm and wanting my look to be fresh, I preferred to have my hair and makeup started at 12pm as we had originally agreed. After speaking with Paje she said she would accommodate and do my hair and makeup after the other bride she had that day. She began my hair at 1pm instead of the original 12pm agreed upon time, which ultimately pushed our whole day off track by about 30 minutes, as I wasn’t ready as early as I planned to be. I felt I was rushing to get ready. Once everything was said and done my hair and makeup looked beautiful and I was very happy with it.

The other ladies working with Honor Beauty who did my bridesmaids hair and makeup were lovely and did an excellent job!

Bridal hair and makeup + trial

Paje and her team made us all picture perfect for my wedding! I couldn't be happier with the service Paje provided. The trial went so perfect, im so glad I had a trial so I could see how it was going to look, I highly recomend, it also gets you even more excited for your big day!
