I would recommend Avryl for your wedding day or event! Avryl was very helpful from day one of the consultation, asking all the right questions. I had my bridal hair and makeup done by Avryl. Her pricing was great, and it was nice to have someone who specialized in both! I do recommend a trial, as that gave us time to make tweaks. Avryl encouraged feedback and tweaks so the wedding morning was smooth sailing. I'm not a huge makeup wearer, and she did a great job of doing enough for my wedding day, while making sure I was feeling comfortable. Avryl was punctual, kind, responsive, and was a great calm presence on my wedding morning (while being extremely professional and detail oriented). My friends commented on how well my wedding makeup held up throughout the night as well. Thanks Avryl!

I was very happy with my makeup and hair for the wedding and my choice of working with Avryl. Avryl was very helpful and professional and was able to understand the look that I wanted, despite my poor descriptions, and she easily incorporated small tweaks along the way. She was also very patient with me and my nervousness through the process.

My mother and one of the bridesmaids had less of a wonderful experience with her assistant on the day of the wedding. It was a longer and more stressful process for my mom, especially, and I don't think she was super comfortable with the result.

Avryl was the ideal hair and makeup artist for our wedding! She absolutely went above and beyond to make sure my wedding makeup was perfect. She has such a calm and pleasant nature and is a pleasure to talk to. She was super flexible with me as I wanted to do our trial before getting engagement photos done, but of course, the weather required us to reschedule a couple times. The winter made my skin really unhappy and it was quite flaky, and Avryl was so kind to schedule a second trial when she was in Toronto, to get the makeup flawless for my wedding day. For our wedding day, we had some last-minute changes to our bridal party (with two bridesmaids dropping out days before the event), and Avryl was very understanding and flexible - tweaking our schedule of services twice, letting me swap in family members for their hair and makeup, and reissuing the invoice not once but twice. Avryl's prices are fair and she and her partners, Bethany and Cristhine, are warm and do fabulous work! My family and bridesmaids had a great experience too, and everyone looked gorgeous. You will not regret working with Avryl. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Avryl and her team were incredible on my wedding day! They handled hair and makeup for 9 of us including my bridal party, mom, MIL, SIL, and niece. Everyone's hair and makeup (especially my own) was beautifully done and lasted all day without needing touch-ups! In addition to my wedding day look, I had Avryl do my hair and makeup for my engagement shoot and a trial ahead of the wedding. Each time she was patient and flexible with making any changes I wanted to achieve my desired look. Not only is she an incredibly professional and talented makeup artist and hair stylist, but Avryl played the role of motivational speaker and therapist during my wedding day session because I was so excited I had slept less than 3 hours and my anxiety was running high. She handled a very high-strung bride (me) with grace and made sure I felt like the most beautiful bride ever! I highly recommend Makeup Jedi for all your beauty needs!
