Simply the best
The trial: Before the trial date, we went everywhere looking for dresses. We found that perfect one that brought tears to my beautiful bride's eyes. Unfortunately, it came with the company. After our trial with Michael, she looked at me and said "This was the first time I have felt like a bride". During the session, my step daughter got the music going and Michael shook his rump. My step daughter ate it up. She loved it. My beautiful bride looked amazing.
The big day: A few days before the wedding, my bride was a wreck. She was nervous about walking down the aisle and very nervous about giving her vows. She was concerned about crying all the way down and she was going to race through her vows. I don't know what Michael did or said to her, but she came out, grinning from ear to ear and she crushed the ceremony. I was the one blubbering through my vows. It was a pretty incredible day. Fortunately, everything went smooth, we made some great decisions on our vendors. By far, Michael was the best. He did many things, large and small, that made our day perfect. I can't thank him enough.

Hi!
I am Michael, the Owner and Lead Stylist at Michael Fels Beauty.
I absolutely love the experience of working closely with my clients to make them look and feel their best and bring their vision to life. For me it's not just about hair and makeup, it's also about the connection and conversation along the way! I think it is so fascinating to hear someones story about where they came from, where they are now and where they are going.
I've been an artist all my life but it wasn't always hair and makeup!
I studied Fine Art at the University of British Columbia Okanagan and went on to study 3D Animation at the Centre for Arts and Technology Okanagan, graduating with Honours in 2008. Working on a computer felt like a dead-end job, which led me to the Makeup Artistry program at the John Casablancas Institute in Vancouver, where I graduated with Honours in 2015.
I then worked for MAC and Anastasia Beverly Hills where I received further extensive training, while also working in many other areas of hair and makeup such as photoshoots, fashion shows, music videos, short films, trade shows, conventions, and in salons.
Eventually I left the world of retail cosmetics to pursue fulltime freelance and start my own business: Michael Fels Beauty.
In my spare time I also like to paint, and sell both my original works and prints of my paintings!
