She listens to exactly what you want and works her magic. I’m usually pretty sensitive around the eyes and I had no problems at all she made everything feel comfortable and she’s a joy to talk too!

Modern Makeup was fantastic! They came out to my home and did some trials of hair and make-up ahead of my wedding. They worked with my schedule (as I live in the US) and was only here a few days before my wedding. I’m so glad I had Jen and Shawna do the trials as I don’t typically wear make-up and I tend to wear my hair very simply and I had no idea what I wanted. They were also very professional. Both times I met them, they were professionally dressed (wore black). They got to know me in order to see what I would prefer for hair and make-up. The day of the wedding, my photographer wanted photos of my make-up being applied and Jen was more than accommodating to work with the photographer (as she had already finished with my make-up). My one friend who doesn’t wear make-up (because of allergies) had her make-up done. Jen had just casually asked if my friend wanted to try it (with absolutely no pressure to do so). My friend looked stunning!!!! All of us (myself and my 3 bridesmaids) looked beautiful and we were all very happy with the results. I would highly recommend both Jen and Shawna!

She truly worked magic, making me feel like the best version of myself while keeping everything natural and flawless. She listened to my vision and brought it to life perfectly. Not only did my makeup look stunning, but it lasted all day and night, even through happy tears and dancing! Jennifer at modern makeup and her team are absolutely amazing! I had a hair and makeup trial with Jennifer and she took the time to listen, offer suggestions and work her magic! She is also great at doing makeup for seniors. For my wedding day, Jennifer did a phenomenal job on my makeup and also for my sister and mom.

Jennifer was an extreme delight to spend the morning of my wedding day with ! She was on time and very professional. She was a perfectionist and was dedicated to making myself and my bridesmaids look perfect. She even, on the spot, was able to add my to be mother-in-law without hestitation. I hired Jennifer to do my bridesmaids hair and makeup, as well as both my mother and my mother-in-law used her services. She was wonderful work with from the very beginning. She always was able to respond to my emails quickly and once I booked her she gave me clear instructions as to what to do the days leading up to the wedding in terms of when to exfoliate, what to do with hair prior to having it styled, etc. It made it easier the day of the wedding for everyone to be ready for her and her assistant as we had a lot of girls having hair and makeup done in a strict amount of time. She was lovely to deal with, so sweet and friendly. I was blown away how amazing all my girls looked. All their makeup was done to suit them specifically. Jennifer is truely talented in what she does. My bridesmaids looked stunning thanks to you Jen! We couldn't stop talking about the amazing job you did in the limo on our way to the chapel!

Jennifer was absolutely wonderful!!! Although she had 6 faces to do, she took her time with everyone and never made us feel rushed. She was very thorough, and the makeup was great quality. She did some real magic - my makeup lasted all night! I was amazed it lasted since the church was sweltering and I danced all night (and got pretty sweaty)! I looked perfect all night, and so did everyone else that got their makeup done by Jennifer. She was such a pleasure to be with, she is very friendly and personable, and made everyone feel comfortable! She was flexible too when I made changes to the location and time. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a makeup artist!

I can't even begin to express how amazing Jen was!! She is absolutely amazing at what she does and made me feel like a million dollars. And when my hair girl was late and we thought she wasn't coming Jen was ready to step in and do it all!
