After reading several positive reviews, I was so happy to find Rachel available for my wedding day. After an absolutely heartbreaking experience with her, I am now finding it very difficult to believe those positive reviews are legitimate. The following would have been disappointing on any day but on my wedding day, it was devastating:

I'd hired Rachel for hair and makeup for myself (bride), my bridesmaid, my mother and my mother in law. Rachel's timeline stated she would arrive at 9:30am and be finished at 2:00pm.

My mother and mother in law were both unhappy with their makeup and when I requested it be corrected, I was treated with rather unprofessional behaviour from Rachel and we were told "you just don't know what looks good'. Both mothers said they would just fix their own makeup after Rachel and her assistant left. I wanted everyone to feel beautiful and paid over $1000 to ensure they did, so this was upsetting.

2pm passed and then 3pm and I was still not in hair or makeup. I had hired transportation to pick us up at 3pm and transport to the venue which was 30 minutes away.

Rachel did a very quick job on my hair that I could have done myself. It looked like I had pulled it into a low ponytail. Remember, this is my wedding day. My makeup was very heavy but I did not have time to complain as it was now almost 4pm. The wedding started at 5.

On the way to the venue, my bridesmaid looked at me with panic and told me my makeup was melting off my face like a clay mask. I looked in a mirror and burst into tears. I called Rachel to ask if she could meet me to fix it and she told me to send her a selfie. There were zero solutions to the situation besides completely removing my makeup.

My bridesmaid re-did my face at the venue with the makeup her husband had rushed home to retrieve. By this time HER makeup was "melting off" too and needed to be removed and reapplied. The bus was now very late to pick up the second group of guests from the hotel and the wedding would be delayed by almost an hour. I was humiliated.

Hiring Rachel was the worst decision I made for my wedding. My bridesmaid and myself have reached out to discuss resolution options and have been ignored and blocked on social media. Rachel's behavior was shocking and horrendous and I urge you against hiring her.

Also, please request references from ANY vendor you are choosing for your wedding day.

note: Rachel did call my wedding planner later to say she was available to come back. At this point, the ceremony and pictures had already taken place and I had zero confidence in her abilities as a makeup artist.

Rachel was great at listening to just what everyone wanted in regards to how their hair and makeup looked. We all looked fantastic on my wedding day, I've recommended her to friends who have also had a great experience with her!

Rachel did our hair and makeup for myself (bride) and my two bridesmaids. She was lovely via email and always quick to reply. She did a beautiful job of our hair and makeup -- she listened to what we wanted, but also made suggestions of what she thought would be best for each of us. She also does super luxurious skin prep! Very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Thanks Rachel!

Rachel is amazing! I had a bad experience with another makeup artist and had trust issues, haha. On top of all the emails back and forth, Rachel met with me before I had even booked her just so we could talk about what I was looking for and she could explain to me what she would do differently. She instantly made me comfortable and I could tell that she knew what she was doing!! Fast forward to the wedding day - she and her assistant we're professional but fun. Everyone loved their hair and makeup looks and I could not be more happier with the results! She stayed calm when my skin was cooperating and was extremely good at problem solving. My look lasted all night! I can't say enough great things about Rachel!

Rachel is a sweet girl and an amazing make-up artist. I am so excited to have been able to book her for hair and make-up for my whole wedding party as well as myself. She is very knowledgeable and worth every penny!

Rachel did an amazing job on both mine and my bridesmaid's makeup for our wedding. It even rained and I cried during speeches and my makeup still looked perfect at the end of the night!

Rachel showed up on time and had hair and makeup done in time for photographer and as requested. Many compliments on my hair and makeup that day.

Rachel was amazing! We tried one look at my trial and by my wedding had decided on a totally different look and Rachel pulled it off! I love the way she made myself, my bridesmaids and the moms look! Natural, yet flawless... brought out the best features in everyone and made everyone look absolutely stunning! I would definitely refer Rachel to every bride.
