Meet the team
Hello! My journey into the beauty industry began on April 26, 2008 when I enrolled in the Advanced Makeup Artistry diploma program at what as then known as, Richards Beauty College. While I was attending Richards, Regina Summer Stage was looking for Makeup Artists to assist with their production of 'Disney's Beauty and the Beast.' Being a hardcore Disney fan I was over the moon excited for this opportunity. I applied makeup for the lead character 'The Beast' (played by Gaetan Hammond) during the full production, as well occasionally other cast members including Lumiere, Gaston, and various towns folk.
After graduating from Richards, I dived right into the beauty makeup scene booking appointments for brides and graduates. My journey with theatrical makeup didn't end that Summer, starting Autumn 2008 I started working with Regina Little Theatre where I eventually became the Head of Hair and Makeup Department by 2010 as well did more musicals with Regina Summer Stage, including 'Grease' (2009), 'My Fair Lady' (2010), 'Swept Off Our Feet' (2013), 'Into the Woods' (2014), & 'Footloose' (2017.)
I wanted to advance my skills as a Makeup Artist, so in 2011 I made the move to Toronto, ON & took the Comprehensive Makeup Artist course at the world's leading incubation centre for makeup artistry, Complections College of Makeup Art & Design. I was taught by some of the most talented & successful award-winning Makeup Artists in Canada and really took to the Fashion, Theatre & Wig Knotting courses.
Upon graduating from Complections, I made the decision to move back home to Saskatchewan and with my new found knowledge and skills, I went on to teach two Theatrical Makeup Workshops for Theatre Saskatchewan, styled hair & applied makeup for a First for Womenmagazine, and was a Makeup Artist for the HGTV show, Urban Suburban. In 2018, I added Lash Extensions to my list of services when I took a course on Classic Lash Extensions at Avant Garde College.
I continue my love affair with the theatre and I am currently the Makeup Designer for the Regina Summer Stage production of 'Hairspray' (2019) and I can't wait to apply drag makeup to Joel who will be playing the roll of Edna Turnblad.
I am also accepting new clients for brow grooming and lash extensions as well as for makeup. Send me a text or email and I will get you booked in within 48 hours! Thank you so much for your interest. I can't wait to work with you!
