Simply Stunning is owned and operated by Jennifer Petrie, a bridal hair and makeup specialist based in the Niagara Region. With a home studio for all of your beauty needs, Simply Stunning is also a mobile beauty company that will come to you, wherever and whenever that may be! Jennifer and her team can accomodate any group size, and offer hair and makeup packages as well as individual hair and makeup services. There is no group too big or too small!
Experience
Jennifer has trained with some of the most prestigious brands like L'oreal, Jane Iredale, Makeup Forever, just to name a few. Jennifer continues to keep current with new trends and styles by continuing her education all year round. She received her Cosmotology certificate from the world renowned school, Blanche MacDonald Centre in Vancouver, BC and has also earned a professional makeup artist certificate from the Canadian Beauty College in Toronto, ON. Alongside a creative vision and skillful techniques, she has turned many women, in Ontario and beyond into beautiful brides.

Felt truly beautiful
Jenn was great to work with! Our hair and makeup was beautiful and lasted all day! I have a LOT of hair and Jenn handled it perfectly, which is hard for me to find. She had no problem with our last minute getting ready location change due to an emergency at the initial location which helped during an already high stress situation! Loved getting to know her during my trial and she was really receptive to any requests or opinions during the process. One of my bridesmaids typically hates having her makeup done but wanted to try it out for the wedding and even she had no complaints!

A Bride’s Must Have!!
Jennifer and her team were incredible! Not only did they make everyone look so beautiful but they were so much fun to spend a morning with!
Jennifer and her team made everyone feel comfortable, from the mothers to our young flower girl who got to wear make up and get her hair done for the first time ever!!
As someone who rarely wears makeup and had such thin hair, I felt so pretty, so natural and so wonderful on my day!
With COVID lockdowns, we weren’t able to book my trial until two days before the wedding but I was not stressed at all. Jennifer was so professional and so confident. She looked at my inspiration pictures, jumped right in and nailed it!
Jennifer and her team made everyone feel comfortable, from the mothers to our young flower girl who got to wear make up and get her hair done for the first time ever!!

Amazing Service!
The team at Simply Stunning were amazing! They were very organized and Jenn was able to adapt to everyone's different needs. The hair and makeup on the day of the wedding was seamless and we had a big wedding party! So many compliments on everything

Simply Amazing!
I was so happy with my hair & makeup for my wedding. It looked awesome and best thing was it stayed all day, I didn't have to touch-up anything other than lipstick. I was a little unsure about getting the right colour match for my darker skin tone, but Jaimee worked with me during the trial to get it just right it was a perfect match! They were also so accommodating with the schedule, considering our tight schedule (needing to be done by 10:30am) and everything was on time and looked great! I would absolutely recommend for anyone for their wedding or other special event.

Wonderful Hair and Makeup Team!
Jenn was a dream to work with, and very professional. She was both patient and super sweet, which was very helpful for an anxious bride. She was very flexible, and able to work around scheduling challenges when I was coming for my trial from out of town. She and her team of hair and makeup artists are also incredibly talented! Everyone looked absolutely stunning on my wedding day, and I can't thank them enough. Jenn was open to my ideas during my initial trial, and my hair turned out beautifully and just like I had envisioned on my wedding day. My makeup (done by Shania) was PERFECT for me - very natural and glowy! Finally, not only did Jenn and her team create a very relaxed and enjoyable environment the morning of the wedding, but they were also very efficient (they were able to take care of a bride, 6 bridesmaids, and 2 moms with time to spare). Overall, I would highly recommend Simply Stunning Beauty :)

Wonderful!

wedding day
Hired Jenn to do my hair and make up, and my mom's make up for my wedding day last month. I didn't have a great first impression of Jenn during my trial. Anyways fast forward to my wedding day, Jenn did everything I asked, she took her time and I was happy with my look and turned out great in pictures.

A disappointing experience for my mother, MIL and others
Originally booked Jenn because she was fairly affordable compared to other MUAs. I regret hiring her in all honesty. She was supposed to do my mom’s, my MIL’s and two other women’s hair and makeup on my wedding day. All four were complaining about their looks after. Not only was Jenn somewhat unfriendly, extremely curt in all communications (and I had to follow up with her a few times to book her), she ALSO completely butchered my mom’s makeup (my mom asked for a brown smoky look, Jenn used grey eyeshadows, a lipstick colour that completely clashed with the overall look and a simple request to just add more volume to my mom’s short hair wasn’t achieved either). We had another hair stylist with us that day, so they had to redo my mom’s flat hair (after Jenn “added volume” to it), while I myself was fixing her eye makeup and wiped away that terrible lip colour.
I genuinely don’t understand how she could be so bad at what she does. Would not recommend her.

Jenn did my hair/makeup as a bridesmaid and she was amazing! It was so great and easy to have one person available to do both! She made us all look so great and really made the day special for the bride.
