On the day of our wedding she managed our ceremony, cocktail, dinner, and first dance music, and then put on an INSANE performance all night long with the band. The entire day it felt so good knowing that everything related to our music was in hands that we trusted and it went flawlessly.

Lauren Roy truly made our wedding day perfect.
She was a pleasure to work with from start to finish, and extremely flexible and understanding with our constant changes and adjustments as a result of COVID. Along with an acoustic guitarist, she lit up the room at our ceremony, nailing the slow, acoustic versions of some of our more up-beat favourites ("Best Friend" by Queen, "Home" by Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeroes, "Believer" by The Monkeys) and putting a tremendous amount of heart and soul into some of the traditional wedding classics ("Moon River," "Can't Help Falling in Love With You"). I was originally concerned that the single guitarist and singer wouldn't be enough to keep the energy high at our intimate backyard reception, but Lauren assured me she and her guitarist alone could "bring the party," and they absolutely delivered. We couldn't believe how big of a sound they pulled off with just the two musicians; it felt like we had hired a 5 or 6 piece band (without bothering the neighbours). After the wedding many of our guests expressed how much they enjoyed the music, and some even asked for her information to hire her themselves. Lauren took so much of the stress off of us during the planning process, and made our wedding day unforgettable. I could not recommend her highly enough.
The right decision
Lauren was so professional and walked us through the whole process of planning the music for our big day from ceremony, signing, cocktail hour, dinner. She managed it all, and made our choices easy. Basically, once she had an idea of what we wanted, she 'got it' and was able to take the load off from us and make the perfect day happen.
Our guests could not stop complimenting Lauren & Will on the day of, and we STILL (okay, it's only been 2 weeks) comment on the amazing tone these two set and quality of music they played for our special day. They took our wedding to the next level. They elevated our event in a way that I could not have imagined. They made it so very special.
Note: We had originally booked Southbound Soul, their four piece band for our larger April wedding, but with COVID ended up only with SteelRiver Duo for our backyard wedding for 40 people.
Just do it. You will be so happy that you did.
10yr Anniversary Backyard Surprise
She was a personal referral to help plan a surprise backyard safe celebration for my wife and my 10 year wedding anniversary. The night couldn't have been more perfect. Lauren and her bandmate Will sang and played such well-suited music including some key recommendations like our wedding song. Lauren also through her extended team brought in other wedding elements like our flowers and cake. It didn't end there. Her photographer and chef matched the style of the occasion naturally. As my wife now shares with me it had everything she wanted in our wedding with the opportunity to selfishly just focus on each other.
Lauren, I can't thank you enough for helping create a once in a lifetime memory which is just so amazing to have with our home! Pictures say a 1000 words.
Hands down the best!
On the day of our wedding, Lauren rocked up and just quietly did her magic, setting up for 4 different locations and also arranging a stereo set up for background music during the dinner. Everything was seamless, including the mad dash inside midway through our ceremony, by the end of the ceremony Lauren and Will were all set up again and ready to serenade us back down the aisle. Amazing! Lauren and Will's talent and versatility speaks for itself and is one of the main reasons that we chose them - they pulled off everything from learning Fleetwood Mac and a country song for our first dance, to absolutely rocking the dance floor at the end of the night. Thank you so much Lauren and Will!

With a background in both event planning and music, I quickly realized the incredible impact a carefully curated soundtrack could have on any celebration. And, I firmly believe in throwing out the rulebook and embracing what feels true and authentic to each couple.
Fuelled by my genuine love for connecting with likeminded souls, I set out on a mission to shake up how we experience music in life's big moments.
