David Skolnick is a multi-instrumentalist based in Mississauga, Ontario, who began performing in his childhood. Today he plays the piano, accordion, guitar, the Turkish bağlama, (an instrument), bass guitar, and even the drums. Playing solo or with a small ensemble, you and your wedding guests will be pleased with the joyful expression of his music at your ceremony. David mostly plays in the Greater Toronto Area, but willing to come and play at other venues.

Experience

At the age of seven, David began his classical training in piano. In his teens, he filled out his repertoire with jazz, pop, rock, and bossa nova tunes. David earned a Bachelor of Education with a specialization in Music and is currently a member of the Ontario College of Teachers. His many local performances include appearances at the Burlington Convention Centre, Queens Park, Oasis Convention Centre, Free Times Cafe, Blu Ristorante, and many other private engagements. Frederic Chopin, Franz Liszt, and Oscar Peterson have long inspired his piano playing. Adept at classical, jazz, pop songs, as well as French, Spanish, Italian, Jewish, Russian, German, Dutch, Filipino, Turkish, Bollywood, Video Game and Anime songs.

Services offered

David is available for wedding ceremonies and their related events as a solo performer. He also offers the option of engaging his duo, where he performs with a violinist or guitarist. This arrangement often has him performing with Geza, a well-traveled Hungarian violinist, or Chris DeBellis, a classical and flamenco guitar player. If clients so request, he can also learn new material for their event. If the venue has no piano, he will bring his own and an amplifier.He can learn a specific repertoire of songs if requested and I can also play songs by ear, if I have heard them before.

In addition to weddings, David will also play at private events, social gatherings, retirement homes, bar/bat mitzvahs, parties and much more. He is also available as a teacher providing music lessons.
