Working with Luminous String Quartet was a dream. Karen really went above and beyond for us, making sure all the music they played would suit us and our guests. They even learned a whole new song for our recessional that wasn't originally in their repertoire before! Luminous String Quartet played at our wedding ceremony on June 10, 2017. From our very first meeting with Karen to the wedding day itself, the experience could not have been better!
They have an extensive repertoire of classical and contemporary songs, and we were thrilled to be able to personalize the music for the ceremony from start to finish. While we chose some favourite songs immediately, Karen was also great at helping us select music to round out the ceremony.
And the music itself on our wedding day - phenomenal! Only a trio was available for our wedding date (which actually worked out perfectly, as the space would have been too small for four people), but it never felt like we were missing anything! They played beautifully, and were professionally attired as well as prompt, professional and friendly - every time I happened to look over at the trio during our ceremony, I saw Karen smiling back! They adapted the music to match our ceremony timing, which made life so much easier for us - no bridesmaids had to rush down the aisle to make sure the song didn’t run out, the trio just played until everyone was in place.
Our entire experience with the Luminous String Quartet was incredible, they are clearly both talented and passionate about music. We received so many compliment on our ceremony music - even from people who would never normally listen to a string quartet! We highly recommend them to anyone looking for beautiful, live music!
