Based and operating out of Toronto, Ontario, the Sean Stanley Quintet & Miss Dior specialize in unforgettable jazz and blues musical entertainment for special events. Sean Stanley and Miss Dior have been collaborating since 2013 where they discovered instant chemistry with one another. They began as a duo while performing locally and later grew in size to include an upright bass and drums. This reliable band comes prepared with pristine manners and dress along with their passion for performing which is seen in every aspect of their show.

Experience

In 2015, they had the opportunity to perform at several well-known venues such as the Jazz Bistro, Gate 403 and at a weekly residence in the Harlem Restaurant. In addition, they were featured as performers in that year's TD Jazz Festival and chosen as one of the six finalists for the 2015 Toronto Blues Society Talent Search Competition.

The Sean Stanley Quintet & Miss Dior perform jazz standards and blues classics with elements of rock, rhythm and blues and country combined with their own style of delivery and a fresh perspective. They offer a variety of ensembles including the full band or duos, trios, quartets and more.

These groups can include piano, flute, trumpet, drums, guitar, saxophone and clarinet players. Their services consist of ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, rehearsal dinner and break music. They bring their own sound system and welcome the chance to learn new songs

How they work

This magnificent musical group combines playful yet throughtful improvisations with Sokhna-Dior's role as a percussionist and vocalist who experiments with time and tone and Sean's interesting expressions while playing the piano and his gritty and soulful vocals. Guests can be transported to the past with Miss Dior's haunting highs as well as her smokey lows.
