Brent and Tracy Sheppard are a pair of officiants based in Vancouver, British Columbia. They officiate weddings individually or as a team and aim to keep the ceremony fun while maintaining a formal air. Brent and Tracy have over 20 years of experience and can offer helpful ideas for vows and readings gained by their long history as officiants.

Services offered

Brent and Tracy’s website offers a template to assist couples in planning the ceremony and rehearsal. They are also available for phone and email support to answer any questions regarding the ceremony, documents, or registration. In the case of an emergency, Brent and Tracy have a network of officiant friends that can assist in a pinch. Various types of wedding ceremonies are performed by the duo, including interfaith, non-religious, and single religion ceremonies. Brent and Tracy can also perform vow renewals and offer customized vows.

How they work

The duo encourages couples to meet with them before booking to ensure that they are a good fit for their wedding vision. After Brent and/or Tracy are booked, they will meet with you once six to eight weeks before the wedding and once more the week of the wedding for a rehearsal. They prefer to keep the ceremony as simple and enjoyable as possible, while still preserving the formality required for an elegant occasion.

Wonderful experience!

Brent was amazing! He was super friendly, outgoing, and easy to talk to. I was able to add and customize my ceremony to however I wanted and it went very smoothly. Brent has obviously been doing this for a long time because he seemed SO comfortable up there talking in front of 100 people and had a happy, gentlemanly ease. He added just a touch of humour with his fun demeanor and it led to the perfect and most magical ceremony! 10/10 recommend! One of my guests that is engaged liked him so much, he event asked me for Brent's info so they could hire him for their upcoming wedding! He was the best! :)

I hired Tracy for our wedding ceremony and she was incredible on all fronts. Book her - you will not be disappointed! So professional and knew exactly how to guide us to ensure our ceremony was exactly what we wanted. Hey Rev had an entire toolkit that made the planning process so easy! Tracy truly cared about our day and took complete control of our wedding rehearsal when our wedding planner was 20 minutes late. During the ceremony, she was so articulate and well-spoken. Her delivery is genuine, moving and heartfelt. Tracy can do it all and can support various religions, spiritual followings, whatever you need. The ceremony although a small portion of the entire wedding day it is by far my favourite memory of the day and a lot of that is due to Tracy.

Tracy prompted me by asking if there was anyone that had passed that I wanted to include in my ceremony. I lost my Dad a few years back and it did not dawn on me to include a reference to him in the ceremony. I had planned a memorial table for the reception. The words of love and thought within the ceremony for my Dad meant so much to me, my mom, my brother and my Dad’s family that attended the wedding and because of Tracy this opportunity wasn’t missed. Forever grateful for the incredible start Tracy gave to mine and John's marriage!

Outstanding! Brent was the best. Really vibed well with our crowd and made it really comfortable.

Highly recommend. Super easy to get along with, speak with and work with! Brent really put us at ease and worked really well with our crowd!

Tracy was an amazing officiant! 10/10

Wow! We couldn't have asked for a better person suited to marry us on our special day. Tracy was personable, funny, and calming all at once. Tracy married us at Riverway Clubhouse in August 2019. All our guests raved about her. Everything was so organized, she incorporated a reading we picked and personalized it to us!l. She also has such a sweet voice and made our guests feel special. She truly went above and beyond. We met her about a year before our wedding over some coffee and instantly clicked. She answered all of our questions and came prepared with a package to help us explain the process as we had no idea! She came to our rehearsal and made everyone feel as ease. Sean and I didn't have a wedding planner and were kind of worried about the logistics of it all. Tracy took it upon herself to coordinate the ceremony for us and have my whole bridal party know where to stand, walk and when to go. It was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. She also came to see me in the bridal room before it began to say everything is perfect and ready to go. Her calming professional nature did so much to help ease any nerves. I highly highly recommend Hey Rev! Especially Tracy. You won't be disappointed!

Very nice woman but she said my name wrong

Tracy is such a nice and warm lady. She made us feel extremely comfortable when we first met her and was punctual and personable. However, I couldn’t believe my ears when she introduced us at the ceremony and called me by the wrong name. She called me “Laura” and not “Lauren” which my whole family was very disappointed about, as was I. I know mistakes happen but this one was a tough pill to swallow since we had met her two times previously (driven over an hour to meet her at a location close to her house), rehearsed with her the night before, and purposely chose to spend more money on an officiant who we were told would personalize our wedding and make it feel sentimental. We wish Tracey all the best but feel very disappointed that this happened.

Great experience. Plenty of laughs

We would highly recommend Hey Rev for anyone looking for a wedding officiant. Brent was very professional, organized, he helped us through the process with ease and most importantly had a friendly personality and great sense of humor.

Very personable

Tracy from Hey Rev was our wedding commissioner at our wedding May 25th at Harrison Hot Springs. She was recommended to us by our Planner and Harrison Hot Springs themselves. She was fabulous. She made us feel comfortable and the ceremony went flawless. The guests said she was amazing. Thank You Tracy

Tracy Sheppard is fantastic! She was very easy to talk to and tell our story to. Clicked instantly when we met with her. She made our ceremony so personal and kept the romance whist keeping everyone entertained. Made our wedding day easy knowing we had put our trust in her. Would highly recommend!!!!

Tracy is a fantastic, calming, organized professional and provided us with a wonderful and personalized ceremony.

Tracy performed our ceremony at the Golden Eagle golf club and was amazing throughout the entire process. She worked with us to help us determine the type of ceremony we wanted and was always able to fill in the blanks when we were unsure. Tracy had worked with our venue before and worked seamlessly with the venue planner to organize our rehearsal and ceremony. Tracy was a very calming presence and helped alleviate my nerves (as well as fix my boutonniere). She had clearly prepared to ensure she could pronounce all the names and even some greetings in our various native languages, provided us a very smooth and touching ceremony. Thanks Tracy.
