Located near Mansfield, Ontario, Jan Smith-Bull is a Humanist officiant specializing in secular wedding ceremonies in Dufferin County, Clearview Township, Barrie, Wellington County, Caledon and beyond. She is licensed by the Registrar General of Ontario to perform legal wedding ceremonies. Her focus is on ceremonies that are respectful and meaningful, and fun! She wants you to remember your special day with a huge smile!

Services offered

You have the option of meeting with Jan face-to-face, via email, Zoom or phone to help her create a personalized ceremony - one that speaks to who you are.

You can choose: rituals (like the Oathing Stone, Hand Fasting, wine or flower rituals, and more!), readings (poems, song lyrics, or meaningful quotes), vows and wordings for the ring ritual, and possibly a special remembrance to include. Perhaps you have a poem, song or quote that has special meaning to you, or you can choose from Jan's growing collections. She also has example ceremonies, so you can see the flow and structure. Your ideas are welcome and there's lots of flexibility in the ceremony!

She will work with your choices and what she learns about you to create your ceremony. Custom ceremony: $500

She also offers pre-written ceremonies geared toward couples planning a destination wedding or who would just rather keep it simple. She provides a lovely, heartfelt ceremony that meets all legal requirements. Pre-written ceremony: $425

If you require an Expedited Marriage Certificate, Jan can provide instructions and guidance.

And, of course, her services include sending the completed licence to the Registry Office by Registered Mail and following up as required to ensure that your marriage is registered and official.
