As a wedding officiant with Kettle Creek Weddings in southwestern Ontario, Pete Olver loves to serve his community. He has been married to his wife, Susan, since September 1973. As a parent of three and grandparent of 9, he understand the impact and power family can have, and thus, sees marriage as the beginning of a new chapter in life. He wants your wedding day to be personal, which he achieves through his professional, caring demeanor. He believes your wedding ceremony should not be boring. Instead, it should be filled with life and excitement as you embark on this new adventure.
Experience
Pete received his post-secondary education at the University of Waterloo (and three years at Ontario Bible College). He worked in a research lab in Toronto and as a teacher, as well as counselor, in a missions agency. He has performed hundreds or wedding ceremonies and kept himself self-employed for more than 23 years. He began his career with Kettle Creek Weddings in 2011. He is certified by the Ontario Association of Professional Wedding Officiants and has more than 30 years of experience in public speaking.
Services offered
Several wedding types are offered, including interfaith ceremonies, nonreligious, and vow renewals. His ceremonies are typically less than 30 minutes. He also allows for customized vows and is completely licensed to officiate your wedding.
