Abegael Fisher-Lang is a certified Life Cycle Celebrant, longtime master storyteller, and specialist in Cultural & Spiritual Ritual. For the past 12 years, she has created a full range of ceremonies for couples, families, and communities to mark big life changes in a meaningful way. She is on the teaching faculty of the Celebrant Foundation & Institute, the gold standard training for celebrancy in North America, and has received WeddingWire Couples' Choice Awards since 2014.

Beautiful and unforgettable
As a wedding photographer I have seen many different ceremonies throughout the years but none quite like this one. Abegael made this couples wedding ceremony feel so unique and very special. I think everyone at the wedding including myself will remember this one forever. I love how spiritual the ceremony was and most of all it touched our hearts and souls. Beautiful and customized ceremony
We knew that picking a celebrant was an important choice and we are so happy we went with Abegael! She asked the best questions and created a ceremony that we will never forget. Abegael is so welcoming and makes the process very fun. She helped us choose rituals that related to our ancestry and helped us honor our late fathers in a ceremonial way. Thanks Abegael!

Amazing wedding celebrant
Having Abegael as our celebrant for our unique wedding was perfect! She worked efficiently and was great at constant communication to ensure our happiness with all of the different traditions we wanted to include on our special day. She showed up early, has great voice projection (we were outside), and organized our large group of guests (around 90) into a circle formation. She truly made our wedding day special and meaningful, we couldn't be happier with our golden rose wedding package.

Best ceremony ever!
Abegael was our wedding celebrant and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. From the start, we felt an authentic connection with her. She wrote our love story with such care and the unique rituals she suggested really made our ceremony stand out. In fact, many of our guests raved that it was the best ceremony they had ever seen and that it was their favourite part of the wedding. We would highly recommend Abegael to any couple seeking a memorable and personalized ceremony and are so glad we chose her to be with us on our wedding day!

Beautiful and memorable custom ceremony
The top compliment we heard was that our ceremony was so meaningful and unique! Creating this ceremony with Abegael's help truly brought us closer in the process and on the day! Abegael had so many of ideas for our ceremony and welcomed our vision. We wanted everyone to hear our love story so they understood what brought us up to that day! Most people in the room knew pieces of it but she crafted a beautiful and thorough recollection that shared both our sides of the story. We added several meaningful rituals like candles, ring warming, handfasting and the gift of flowers to our mothers. Everyone was given an antique bell to ring as we walked out which everyone really enjoyed! We even managed to include my younger sister who passed away 4 years ago in a way that made me laugh and cry at the same time! I truly felt her presence with us on this day. Thank you Abegael for bringing our ceremony together and making it truly memorable!

Fabulous and Priceless
Our Amazing magical journey with Abegael started on a beautiful sunny day in June of 2022. She was so warm and very receptive to what we had as the budding vision for our wedding ceremony and we were equally excited for her thoughts as well. I remember both of walking away feeling so grateful and truly felt like we had found a perfect person to honor our wedding in a sacred way.
After touching base and going through a number of drafts we all co-created a ceremony rich with ritual and reverence which aligned with our many spiritual beliefs.
Everything about our wedding ceremony was beautiful and grounding in the love that we affirmed and celebrated that stunning morning at the Teahouse in Stanley Park. It was so perfect in every way.
All of our guests loved the ceremony so much. An many remarked how it was so singular and unique, even our waitstaff at the Teahouse shared that they had never witnessed a ceremony so different.
My wife and I give so much thanks to Great Spirit for aligning us with the most perfect soul to hold our sacred container for our Union.

Unique and special ceremony
Abegael delivered an exceptional experience from start to ceremony. She was responsive, easy to communicate with and helped us so much in a short amount of time. Our guests were blown away by all the different elements and the feedback has been that it is the best ceremony they've been to. We're so thankful for Abegael's presence on our big day.

A Unique and Delightful Ceremony
The ceremony prepared by Abegael was enjoyable and innovative. She has assembled a collection of various eclectic wedding traditions and works with the couple to find out which works best for them. Our favourite part was the story of our relationship which she shared with our guests as part of the ceremony. She had my Wife and I separately fill out a questionnaire about our relationship. She then wove these into a story so that our guests could have a better idea of who we were as a couple and how we came to be. It was delightful to have that part of us celebrated as part of the ceremony.
