As an experienced Master Celebrant®, creative writer, artist, and eternal romantic, I love to write and officiate couples’ wedding ceremonies. I believe I have the best job in the world!

I will meet with you (either in-person or virtually) for a complimentary consultation so we can talk about your dreams and desires for your special ceremony. I’ll show you ceremony templates as well as ceremonies I’ve written to guide you along.

Relaxed, sentimental, personal

James was wonderful to work with. Flexible with our international time zones (planning abroad) and with all our questions. His personal, light, humorous yet special and sentimental approach was perfect for our wedding ceremony. Would highly recommend!

Amazing, personalized ceremony

James was amazing start to finish. He had great content for ceremony options and customized a ceremony that perfectly fit our wedding day. The ceremony was sentimental, personal, funny and professional, many compliments were given out after the ceremony was completed. We couldn't recommend James enough to be apart of your wedding day!

Written like a Love Story

James has been wonderful in helping us plan our quick little wedding ceremony. He made it about us, our time and our love. He was respectful to our deadlines and officiated a wonderful wedding ceremony to our small in person guests and those on zoom. It was perfect fit and I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants something unique and all their own.

James Latour delivered an experience that many of our guests said was fitting, sincere, and memorable!

As we are unconventional fun-loving souls, we celebrated our nuptials in a dragon themed fantasy medieval style. It was important to us to have the “right fit” for our officiant. Partly because of our theme but mainly because, for us, the reason for celebrating in the first place is the whole marriage ceremony thing. We really wanted the ceremony to be a highlight of the day for our guests. We chose James Latour because he was open to our theme, he does nonreligious ceremonies, and he works with you to put together a personal and meaningful ceremony. James delivered an experience that many of our guests said was fitting, sincere, and memorable and all in about 20 minutes! His communication back and forth while crafting the script was top notch as well. Two weeks after our wedding we received a lovely handcrafted booklet containing our ceremony script as a keepsake. This is part of the package we selected but he added a twist by choosing a custom font to match our medieval theme. It was a really nice touch to cap things off. We highly recommend James to anyone wanting a ceremony that truly reflects who they are.

Our Wedding Ceremony would not have been the same without James

When we first found James we knew instantly that he was the person to marry us. He did not disappoint. We were coming from the mainland and he was so accommodating to meet with us via facetime and then in person when we were popping over. The ceremony he did for us was so heartfelt and perfect for us as a couple. He is funny and kind and it shows through during the ceremony. Many friends and family members commented during the reception how great he was! Thank you so much James!

Simply the best!!!!

We shopped around for a celebrant and only moments into our interview with James, we knew he was the one to marry us and we couldn't have been more right! Our guests were so impressed, we were thrilled and my only wish would be to do it all over again. James was a consummate professional, he is well spoken, he is funny without stealing the show, he is heartfelt and just frames the ceremony perfectly. I would absolutely 110% highly recommend James , you will not regret it for a moment!
