SPECIALTY SERVICES
Marriage Ceremonies
Since 2004, Katherine has planned and performed over 700 weddings in Stratford, Waterloo, Guelph, Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, Toronto, the Niagara area, and beyond! She would be happy to get together with you to discuss your wedding needs and compose the perfect ceremony for you. Adding traditional or cultural elements to your wedding ceremony, as well as poems, music, and/or wording in different languages, are all encouraged to make your ceremony even more personal and meaningful. Destination wedding services (legal solemnization only) are also available for couples who want their marriage registered in Ontario before having their destination wedding celebration outside the province.
Wedding Day Coordination
Katherine works with a dedicated team of experienced event specialists to help make your wedding day go as smoothly as possible so that you can relax and enjoy the magic of your special day. From ensuring the flowers get delivered on time, to the cutting of the cake, Lifetime Ceremonies is with you every step of the way.
Baby Welcoming Celebrations
These are beautiful and meaningful ceremonies to welcome a new child into your family and make promises to the little one, such as providing love, support, and guidance throughout the child's life. This is also a time when parents may choose to name their child. Welcoming celebrations are created with your family’s cultural traditions in mind. The inclusion of songs, poems, foods, and the giving of token gifts to the child, are all encouraged. Adult friends and/or relatives, chosen by you, play the role of "Guide Parents" who will make lifelong pledges to your child. Baby welcoming celebrations are not just for babies, however. Children of any age may have a ceremony, including children who are adopted.
Funerals and Memorials
Memorials services for family members or friends that have passed away are a meaningful and personal way to pay final respects to the dearly departed. Humanist funerals and memorials do not invoke the blessing of any deity or church. Instead, they honour the deceased loved one in a dignified and personal service that commemorates the uniqueness of that person’s life and personality.
