Zoom or in-person consultations are welcome whether you are hosting a full ceremony or a smaller intimate wedding. All family pets are welcome!

Inclusive of all identities, cultures, backgrounds, and traditions, Sharon explains all your ceremony options that match your family and culture wedding ideas. She delights in greeting your guests in your language and welcomes live feeds (Zoom, etc.) so that your overseas families and friends not able to be physically present are included in your magic moment.
4. Guaranteed WOW Ceremony
Whether you have an elopement, pop up, surprise wedding to a destination wedding, Sharon is committed to creating a wonderful experience for you and your guests. She is your "go to" person for any questions or concerns and holds your hand and supports the wedding party from beginning to end of the ceremony!
5. Informative Workshop
Unlimited correspondence and consultation to answer any questions is available. Your ceremony is finalized in a one hour workshop done in person or by Zoom. Google docs provide full access to your wedding script. You will know exactly what to do and what will be said on your wedding day!
6. Rehearsals
Rehearsals are the "stress releaser" and usually are completed a few days before the wedding day. They can take up to an hour and they are designed to practise what to expect in the ceremony including practising holding a bouquet and microphone in all ceremony transitions. This also ensures that the alter line up and cadence of walking is perfect for capturing great photography and videography the wedding day. The rehearsal time and place must be pre-booked with the officiant.
7. Government Registration
Sharon submits your Marriage Licence to the Alberta government and you apply for your Marriage Certificate at any Registry 2-3 weeks after the cermeony date. She also provides Rush Registration service right after the ceremony. If you live outside of Alberta, she provides information on how to apply for your certificate.

Making a difference in people’s lives has been my life’s work and personal joy.
I am a people person, proud mother of a son and enjoy my hobbies. When not marrying couples, you will either find me hiking, riding my horse down country roads or sewing colourful quilts for family and friends. Supporting my community, I have volunteered with 4H and the Calgary Hospice for numerous years.
As a trained actress, I am an ideas enthusiast! My wedding career was launched in 1995 with Sharon Barwick Designs as a Vancouver florist and award winning event decorator. I have produced weddings and events in Calgary since 2004 as Director of Special Events with the Simply Elegant Corporation. I am an International Examiner for the Certified International Event Professional (CSEP) designation and former National Education Chair for the International Live Events Association (ILEA). I am dedicated in mentoring young people and am a Mount Royal University instructor for the Wedding Planning and the Event Management programs.
