Our wedding planner recommended Kevin as our officiant for our wedding, and he was the best! We had a bilingual English/Mandarin wedding and Kevin was flawless in both languages. He made our guests feel comfortable and his delivery and script were amazing. He helped guide us each step of the way, and even if we forgot what to do next, he was there to subtly nudge us along.
We will forever be grateful to Kevin for incorporating a memorial/tribute for our dog, Amethyst, who passed away two days before the wedding. We messaged him the day before to let him know the news, and he generously and seamlessly worked in a portion of our ceremony for Amethyst at our request.

It was such shocking and heartbreaking news to me when you told me that Amethyst crossed the Rainbow Bridge the day right after our rehearsal and just 2 days prior to your wedding. As a dog lover and pawparent, I believe I know how you feel, but no words were able to comfort you. Thank you so much for your trust in me that I was able to include Amethyst into part of your love story and to share it with all your friends and family at the ceremony. On top of that, thank you for bringing his collar so that I could incorporate it with the unity plant ritual. I'm sure your marriage will be embraced with his enduring love. Highly recommend Vancity officiant to every couple
Kevin was our officiant. He was super helpful, nice and professional. We were so glad that we had him on our special day. He made the wedding very memorable, smooth and full of laughter. Highly recommend Vancity officiant to every couple. 💯

Vancity Officiant was truly amazing. Kevin was the best officiant we could've asked for. He was very professional, kind, and personable. His sense of humour was admirable and definitely took off loads of stress during the most stressful time in our lives! The team's response to emails was always quick and professional. Kevin officiated our friend's wedding and it was the first time l sat through a ceremony in 2 languages, cantonese and english hence l decided to hire Kevin for our wedding when it came time. Upon hiring Kevin, he sent us information and details on how he officiates the ceremony, reminders on when to get our marriage license and options for different rituals couples can choose to do during the ceremony and we went with personalized love story. Then, Kevin sent us a separate questionnaire about our love story for him to come up with a script for our big day. Throughout the wedding planning process, l would ask Kevin questions even though he already told us with the initial email communication and Kevin would always patiently answer and always within 24 hours.
On the wedding day, my husband was actually worried the personalized love story script Kevin wrote up would be better than his personal vows, that's how much work Kevin puts in for his couples.
Many of our relatives and guests complimented on how professional yet lighthearted but not at all boring the whole ceremony was and that is all thanks to Kevin putting in the work to get answers from our questionnaire and putting it all together so well for us, especially when most of our relatives only speaks Cantonese. It was a huge bonus the ceremony was officiated in 2 languages and even my relatives could fully understand what was going on so they don't lose interest.
I highly recommend Kevin for those who are looking for a fun yet professional ceremony even if you aren't looking for someone that speaks multiple languages! -
