Where do I even start with Ame? My husband, Tony, and I knew we wanted a wedding video but we wanted something more than a traditional wedding day video. When we looked at Ame's wedding story films, we immediately fell in love with their style of story-telling. When we first met up with the team, we were a bit nervous because we both weren't comfortable in front of cameras nor did we know what kind of story we wanted to tell. However, upon meeting Phoebe and Kevin, they made the entire process effortless for us.

During our initial discussions, we all immediately bonded over our babies and although I still didn't know what kind of story I wanted to tell, I knew that I wanted to capture this special moment in time when my son had just turned 1 and how he became my husband and I's biggest motivation and inspiration.

The entire process took Kevin about 4 visits in total (not including the actual wedding day) which captured footage of our family at home, at the park, Tony's work, as well my MIL's place. He asked a lot of questions and never once made Tony and I felt awkward or nervous in front of a camera. I even remember asking Tony at the end whether we made it easy for Kevin to create a story because we couldn't envision ourselves in a film like the ones we saw on his website.

When we saw the final product, Tony and I were blown away at the magic Kevin created. I think I was in shock during our viewing and when we got home and rewatched it again with family and friends, I couldn't stop crying because of all the moments he was able to capture of our son and the story he was able to tell that included Tony's work ethic and how that stemmed from his mom. Combined with all the wedding day footage he and his team captured, we couldn't be more grateful for our wedding story film.

Tony and I always said we wanted something more than a wedding day video. We wanted a film that would capture our life in this particular moment, and a film that we would be proud to show our kids in the future. Ame delivered and did just that. Thank you so much to Kevin and his entire team for making us the most beautiful wedding and family film for us. We truly can't thank you all enough!

One of the most important decisions about our wedding was choosing the right artists to visual and conceptualize our wedding. During the first consultation meeting, Phoebe told us a bit about the company, its background and their values. She then showed us both their photo and film work from previous weddings...and they were incredible. Right after the meeting, we knew that Âme was the right company for us.

The process leading up to our wedding day was stress free and easy going. For our engagement shoot, we met Eric who was assigned to our wedding as the lead photographer and he helped us feel at ease and comfortable as I usually hate being in front of cameras. As we had chosen to go with the Story package, interviews with us and and family members were also conducted months before our actual wedding date. During the consultation, we fell in love with the films that encompassed and portrayed the background journey's of the couples vs the films of just the wedding day itself. The emotion and feeling of the complete story to us, felt like it holds immense value. Kevin was our lead videographer, and right away you could tell that he is a visual storyteller at heart.

Finally, our wedding day had arrived. The whole Âme crew showed up on time and again made us feel comfortable. It was a hot day, so they were mindful to execute the shots they needed in the sun, while also directing us to more beautiful shady locations. We opted to also get the Same Day Edit add on to be shown at our reception. I was a bit skeptical of this add on as the guests are usually socializing and drinking. Honestly.. it was WORTH IT!! We don't know what kind of wizardry Phoebe was doing on her computer throughout the whole day, but holy f*cking sh*t we absolutely had no idea it would be THAT amazing mere hours after the footage had been filmed. Family and friends could not stop talking about it right after it was shown. It was THE icing on the cake to an already stunning day.

A few months after our wedding, we received the finished product. A hand crafted box with our USB and some printed photos of Âme's favourite selections from that day. The moments that were photographed by Eric and team were stunning, he froze moments that can't be imitated again and to us that was so important. Simply put, this was a visual story told by photos and film not only of us, but of the 2 families becoming one.

If you are researching and unsure who to choose to capture your day, just stop. Book that consultation meeting with Phoebe and you'll understand. This is a once in a lifetime day to be captured and it was WELL worth the investment! I would give 10/5 stars if I could.

We're so glad that we went with Ame Collective to capture the moments from our wedding day. This is the simple, but most accurate way to describe their talent behind the camera. The team was able to capture the mood, the feeling, the emotion behind the day. All little moments put together from your special day are lost in your memories, but Ame Collective was able to grab onto those scenes and create a story for us. Truly this is one of the most treasured things we now have and can revisit for the rest of our lives. The experience with Âme was truly amazing. We knew we wanted to book them because we loved what we heard from our friends who used them for their weddings. Similar to our friends' experience, they were amazing at responding and answering questions and just so easy to work with. We also really loved their work from seeing our friends wedding photos and videos. WE had a great experience. Our evaluation criteria for our photography was that it had to be 'moment-focussed' and not staged, and this was exactly what I got. When we got our photos, I relived all the incredible moments and memories of that day. I love my photos and recommend Ame Collective to anyone looking for photography/videography for their big day. Amazing, amazing, amazing work!! Everyone at Ame Collective was fantastic to work with and our wedding photos and video are so beautiful. I love how they were able to get all the little moments in our wedding and words cannot express how happy we are with the final results. I am very shy and awkward in front of the cameras, but the whole team was so comforting and easy going that I actually forgot we were being filmed most of the time. Our initial meetings with Phoebe were personable where she took the time to get to know us as a couple and what we were looking for in terms of photography and videography. Phoebe shared with us a glimpse of their style to which we were immediately drawn to.

AME Collective Inc., has a real knack for capturing organic moments of not only us, on our big day, but also our friends and family. Looking back at all our photos and videos there were many moments we were too busy to notice but was wonderfully captured to allow us to re-live our beautiful day.

Above the moments that Eric, Natalie, Kevin and Brendan were able to capture and Phoebe was able to highlight – it was their attitude that made our day wonderful. TLDR - If we could rate Ame Collective any higher than 5 stars we would. To anyone who's looking for a wedding photographer/videographer - we had the best time and LOVED working with Ame Collective. They are so passionate about their work and the amount of care and detail that goes into making sure you're taken care of leading up to and on your wedding day (even afterwards)!!! They're absolutely outstanding. You won't find a better team anywhere else.

After seeing many of our friends use Ame for their weddings and being very impressed with the content, we hired Ame for our engagement photos + May 2021 wedding and we are SO happy we did!

The team met with us several times over the course of 1 year through Zoom and in person (safely) and helped us plan, re-plan and re-think our pandemic wedding. They were so patient with our endless questions, and even lent a hand with the little things (there's always many little things when planning a wedding).

The thing with Ame is - they will really try to get to know you and your partner and your families and all the important people and things in your life. The wedding story video is catered to each couple and the end result is not just your standard wedding reel, but something that is truly your own - a video that captures the essence of your relationship, and the individual + intertwined stories that led to marriage. The photos captured all the wedding highlights, and on top of that, Eric and Brendan also managed to grab snapshots of all the little tender moments in between. The team is so awesome and personable that we felt like we were friends at the end of it all :) I miss working with them!!

This team is SO dedicated that they even got themselves sunburnt and ended up with tshirt tans after staying out with us all day on an unexpectedly hot spring day to get the right shots. And all they kept saying was, "oh don't worry at all about us, we're totally fine!!" Trust me when I say Ame goes above and beyond!!

You might imagine that wedding photography/videography is simply about capturing magical moments on your special day.

While that accounts for the large majority of what we might expect as customers, Kevin, Eric and Phoebe have blown us away by not only simply capturing those moments, but our love story too.

They started by first figuring out who Teresa and I are as individuals, then created the space for us to share how our worlds intertwined. Finally, they wove all the threads together into a multi-layered narrative that we feel reflects who we are as a couple – history and all.

As you might have guessed by now, Ame did both our engagement and wedding photos - and our wedding video too.

While we understand that many couples might be anxious to get their photos quickly, rather than getting things done quickly, we loved that Ame took their time to get everything done right. It was perfect.

Although we started as simply clients, we completed our contract as friends; we would highly recommend them for your wedding day – or any other special occasion for that matter.

This is my personal experience with Ame!

When picking a wedding photo style it was really important for me to have photos that captured the moments. When picking a company to be with us for our special day, aka the day we will spend the most money on in our lives lol, I wanted it all. I wanted the photos that are posed but also to see the moments that I couldn't be there for. I originally interviewed 3 teams and went with Ame. We chose the team at Ame because they are SO so good at capturing emotion, facial expressions and just the overall intention of the moment. Their photos illicit emotion. 😍Anyone can pose people and take the photos you need from a wedding ie couple, individual, family, wedding party etc.. but what Ame does that makes them stand out is the candids. When I look through the photos I remember what was happening, what led up to it. I posted some of my fav candids that I wasn't expecting but ended being some or my fav pictures from the day. Anyways tldr thank you so much to the Amecollective team for going above and beyond to capture one of the best days of my life. Can't wait for y'all to take my newborn and one year wedding anniversary family photos!
