For 25 years, As It Happens Photography has been celebrating life through the art of photography. The company creates creative, artistic, and timeless images for all its clients. Located in Mississauga, Ontario, they specialize in contemporary, photojournalism, portraiture, and traditional styles of photography. They have been voted as Oakville’s number one studio five years in a row. Andrea Marchant, the lead photographer, aims to capture the love and connection between people.
Experience
Andrea has worked all over Canada and Europe and shared her knowledge and theories with others on children’s portraiture, facial analysis, high key photography, and digital slideshows.
She has also taught portfolio development, advanced portraiture, and wedding photography at the college and university levels. She has a Master's of Photographic Arts and holds several national accreditations (in wedding photojournalism, group portraiture, and child study.
For six years, she was the chair of the Central Portrait Branch of the Professional Photographers of Canada. She ran the provincial print show for three years. She has also won some of the highest awards in photography, which include:

As It Happens Photography
Her work speaks volumes for itself. After seeing the quality and ideas she has done with past clients both from engagement pictures to their actual wedding, our decision was affirmed to entrust her with capturing of our memories. As our journey began with Andrea, starting with our engagement pictures and wanting to see her ideas of what we were going to do, we met up at the local train station (this is where my fiancé and I had met) the excitement mounted towards what the day would bring. We were thrilled! The passion Andrea exerted to provide the highest quality results speaks volumes for her professionalism and commitment.
Our friendship with Andrea continued to grow over the following months as preparations for the wedding were finalized.
