When COVID hit, Kat from Boakview continuously checked in on us and was so patient with us as we postponed our wedding numerous times. She was compassionate towards the situation and supported us when changes needed to be made. And not only was she a great person to work with, but she makes you look so good in her pictures! We’ve been obsessing over each picture since we got them and reminiscing over the day. Between our engagement shoot and wedding day, we worked with a number of the photographers at Boakview, and they were all so great and did such an amazing job, and made everyone so comfortable and captured every emotion we went through! We just loved working with the whole Boakview team from the very beginning to the end! They are all such beautiful and talented people and we feel so lucky to have worked with all of them. Thank you Kat and the Boakview team for all the work you did for us! -

Boakview Photography was wonderful to work with. They helped us with our day-of timeline based on their experience, so that it was easier not only for our vendors, but also our guests. They provided us with wonderful engagement photos and memorable wedding day photos. We love Boakview's style of photography and deeply appreciated their personal touch. -

Beautiful people taking beautiful photos
I met Kat and Hugh at a wedding show and by the end of our conversation I knew Boakview Photography is who I wanted to trust my wedding memories to. They worked in the pouring rain on their very own wedding anniversary and I am so glad they were a part of my special day. Although we have only seen sneak peek photos so far, what we have seen can only be described as artwork. We have family who asked about Boakview Photography for their own wedding and had several guests who complimented them. They come with the highest recommendation from me! -

Excellent photographers!
Kat and Hugh are a wonderful husband and wife team who were so friendly to us throughout the entire wedding process. They have a great documentary style of photography, taking beautiful candid shots and making it feel easy being in front of a camera. They offer multiple package options so you can pick and choose what features in a wedding photographer are important to you. We highly recommend this dynamic duo! -

I LOVED working with Boakview Photography for my wedding. Initially while searching for a photographer, I liked their beautiful and genuine portfolio of photos... and after talking to Kat on the phone, I knew we made the right choice! My fiancee (now husband) is a bit camera shy, but Kat is such a lovely, professional and funny person, that he relaxed right away. Both our engagement and wedding photos turned out fantastic! The photos are natural and not overly staged, and Boakview captured the emotion of each moment so beautifully. -

Kirsty G. Sent on 17/01/2017Boakview's use of natural light and ability to capture candid moments was what first attracted us to their work. We found them through a referral from another bride-to-be. We messaged them under the assumption they would be booked up for the year, but we received such a touching response from Kat and we knew it was meant to be!
Our biggest fear was that we wouldn't be able to feel comfortable in front of the camera and it would result in a lot of awkward photos. My husband and I planned our entire wedding in 4 months, we didn't have time to warm up with an engagement shoot. Fortunately, Katarina and Hugh are such calm, collected, FUNNY people that we felt incredibly comfortable. Their ability to snap a photo without being detected is incredible!
I was able to relax knowing my day was being documented by professionals and I wasn't worried about anything getting missed. Receiving the "sneak peak" of our edited shots was probably one of the most exciting parts. Your wedding is such a whirlwind and Boakview captured the vibe and excitement of our day perfectly. Looking through our photos and having memories of our day come flooding back was one of my favourite parts of the wedding photography experience. Another part I'll remember forever is through all the madness of the day - trying to gather your wedding party and family can be like herding cats - Kat was by my side, holding my dress or taking it from me completely when I decided it was easier for the dress to come off to pee. She held my hand, kept me calm when threads started unraveling and I honestly, hand to my heart, couldn't have done it without her.
You're getting more than a wedding photographer with Boakview. You're making friends that walk beside you throughout your experience, share in your excitement with you and when necessary, act as a sounding board when nothing seems to make sense anymore. We're already trying to plan when we can use Boakview Photography again, who knows, maybe a maternity shoot!
