Ismail Ciydem was born in 1996 in Antalya. He became interested in photography and cinema at an early age. Between the ages of 13 and 15, he wrote screenplays, essays, shot short movies and studied theater. At the age of 16, he participated in workshops at the International Golden Orange Film Festival. In the same year, he won the first place with a short film named ”Umut Isigi” that he directed in the ”Genc Cinarlar” Short Film Festival. After receiving an award in the category of Best Picture, his interest in cinema and photography increased. At the age of 17, he became the assistant of photographer Ozgur Donmaz. This was his first step into the art life and his first professional experience in terms of photography. At the age of 18, he was entitled to study at Akdeniz University Fine Arts Faculty Photography Department. In the same year, he was accepted to the world’s leading photo agency Getty Images and he became an exclusive participant of the agency in a short time. At the age of 19, he hit the road to realize his childhood dreams and add an international dimension to his works and he has been in over 20 countries! In light of this dream, he focused on travel in his career. His works have been published in leading institutions such as TIME, BBC, FOX, FORBES, Washington Post. Ismail has collaborated with more than 40.000 brands, organizations and individuals from the age 18 to 24. His photographs have been utilized in articles, magazines, TV broadcasts, news, blogs in over 80 countries as inspiring visuals!
