Darby Magill is based in Whistler, British Columbia and photographs all over British Columbia including the Sea to Sky corridor, Vancouver and greater areas, as well as the Sunshine Coast. Darby loves photographing portraits, weddings, and lifestyle. Her work documents weddings with a more candid and natural approach. Guiding her clients through portraiture, she allows for the connection and emotion to be present through the imagery and hopes to tell her clients stories as authentic as possible.

Experience

Darby began using cameras 20 years ago but only began to understand the importance of photography when she moved out west from Ontario. She studied professional photography at Western Academy of Photography in Victoria, British Columbia. Her focus on weddings began once she moved to Whistler in 2009. Starting her photography business in 2011 she has photographed over 250 weddings and elopements in the Sea to Sky corridor. Her photography has brought her around the world. She has also been published on several wedding publications such as Junebug Weddings, Photobug Community, Dancing with Her and LookslikeFilm.

Services offered

The business offers several wedding collections for couples to choose from. Also providing are a wide range of services, such as high-resolution images and digital files. Darby's collections range from 6-10 hours and she is open to additional coverage when required. Post-production process takes six to eight weeks depending on the time of year. Darby provides approximately 60 images per hour of coverage for wedding coverage. She shoots with dual Nikon DSLR's, high-end Nikon lenses, and always carries backup gear in case of an emergency. All images are delivered in both colour and black and white in a private online gallery that comes with unlimited downloads. All images are print ready and all clients are provided with printing rights.
