  Wow wow wow!

  We reached out to Darby to be our wedding photographer, but she was already booked for our date. But then! I was looking through her website and saw her "Wild Woman" series - which gave me an idea to do Boudoir shots for my fiancé as a wedding gift.
  Darby was so amazing with the planning of this, finding the perfect spot, and building an album afterward in collaboration with me. Her eye for composition, style and kindness made the whole experience not only fun, but incredibly empowering. Thank you Darby! I'm so thrilled I did this and HIGHLY recommend to everyone!
  
  PS - My now husband LOVED these! I surprised him with the album on our wedding night.

  Lovely engagement shoot

  Darby was recommended to me by a good friend and I am so glad I hired her! My partner has social anxiety and Darby did a great job making the session feel less stressful. It was raining on the day we planned to take our engagement photos and she suggested changing to the day after for perfect weather. She also scouted the area before and gave us a ride to two locations. When we arrived, she gave us clear directions on how to pose. She sent our sneak peak (12 edited photos) on the same day! I am in love with our photos and I've received alot of compliments on how natural they look. I would not hesitate to recommend her to any couple.

  Professional and relaxed

  Darby was very easy going, had a good sense of humor and was a delight to work with. Her photos really captured the story of our wedding. We were so happy with how they turned out. She managed to capture little moments that were very special to us. She was flexible and managed to capture snapshots of almost every single on of our guests.

  Perfect winter engagement shoot on the lake!

  I can’t thank Darby enough for how amazing she was. I found Darby on Yelp while looking for a photographer to capture my proposal to my fiancée.   I can’t thank Darby enough for how amazing she was. I found Darby on Yelp while looking for a photographer to capture my proposal to my fiancée. I reached out to her about 2 months prior to the shoot as I had never been to Whistler before so I was hoping she could provide some input on the location I was thinking of popping the question at. I knew I wanted to take advantage of the snow and mountains because we live in Florida and we don’t get any of that here. After a bunch of emails and some phone calls back and forth, we had our plan set! The idea was to do it around Lost Lake while snowshoeing to get my ideal background setting. Not only did Darby help me plan this out, she actually went on the trail a few days prior to the photo shoot to scope out the place and provided me with a map and images taken along the trail! She went above and beyond by doing this and it made me feel so much more comfortable and relaxed about the plan because I knew exactly where to go and what to look for. I booked the two hour session as the trail took some time to do and wanted to make sure we got as many pictures as possible. When we got to the lake, our plan went so smoothly! When I went to “try and take a selfie” Darby offered to take our picture instead. Once she got that photo with our phone I popped the question! She didn’t miss a beat with taking pictures of the moment. For the remainder of the session, Darby took us back up the trail as it featured different types of scenery for photo opportunities. I think we stopped at 10 spots or so along the trail to capture pictures with various backgrounds. We got the edited pictures sooner than expected and they’re absolutely PERFECT. Between the photo shoot itself and the amount of effort Darby put in to help me plan this and pull it off, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!!

  Darby did an amazing job of our engagement photos. The photos delivered were great and she was the chillest person to hang out with on that day, nothing felt rushed. She was nothing but helpful and we were very impressed with her and her final product.

I have worked with many brides and photographers over the years, but when it came time to plan my own wedding and select vendors I realized just how hard it can be. Darby was fantastic from the moment we connected, she was flexible and patient while we confirmed the date, and was understanding when we increased our day of needs substantially from when we first contracted.

  On the big day, Darby arrived early to make sure she had time to get the shots needed. She provided gentle but firm direction, and was truly a delight to have as a part of our wedding day. My family was very impressed with her ability to be at the right place at the right time, catching candid moments that I don't even remember happening!
  
  Thanks to Darby, we have incredible photos to treasure - of friends, family and even my 93 year old gramma giving the DJ's turntables a try. I look forward to working with Darby again in the future to capture our next family milestone.

  Darby Magill is AMAZING! She's a super cool, laid back woman who makes you feel at ease from start to finish. The first time I ever spoke with her we ended up chatting for over an hour so I knew right away that we were a great fit. She is creative and has a knack for capturing special moments in a unique way which ensures that at the end of the day, you are left with a set of photos that don't look like everyone else's. Wedding photographers in general are not cheap, but we found Darby Magill Photography to be competitive and reasonable and she proved herself to be worth EVERY dollar (and then some)! Her turn around time was incredibly fast (less than 3 weeks) and everyone that we have shared our photos with has been blown away. She doesn't do only weddings so I am positive that we will continue to work with her for years to come and will continue to highly recommend her to others. For example, the wedding rings photo is something that is tasteful and subtle that can be hung in the home as a gentle reminder of the event. Finally Darby is very much in the digital age - with photos that permit downloading to share over social media and with friends and family who are geographically dispersed.

  I was really worried about having pictures that are very cliché and looked like everyone else's and that I would feel awkward during the photo shoot. When it came time for the wedding day Darby was like having another bridesmaid with us. She is a class act! Very professional, laid back and used her time with us efficiently. Chris and I were having so much fun, that we didn't even know she was capturing some of the most memorable moments of us. Our pictures are all "one of kind" and exactly what we wanted!
  
  We got to know Darby throughout the week in Punta Cana really well and can honestly say we will be friends forever! Thank you Darby for capturing the BEST DAY EVER!
