Darshan Stevens and Alex Hornby are Vancouver Island-based wedding and portrait photographers who share a fondness for documenting life in its quintessence and rawness. Together, they manage Darshan Alexander Photography, an endeavour through which they satisfy their creative quench to tell your unique love story. Darshan has always had a predisposition toward art -- whether that be literature, sculpture, painting, or music – and seeks inspiration from everything and anything that is aesthetically rich. As a wedding photographer, Darshan is intrigued by different moods, and seeks to find the silliness, vulnerability, and imperfections that make a couple different. From joy and elation to curiosity, anticipation, and playfulness, Darshan keenly observes, absorbs, and records the wide spectrum of emotions of your big day. With a photojournalism background, Darshan knows when the opportune moments are coming and is able to capture your precious, fleeting memories. Alex’s affection for photography comes from nature (specifically, plants and wildlife). She is inspired by attributes like resilience and adaptability, as she believes they are proof of human spirit and endurance. She strives to capture action and emotions. Darshan and Alex cover weddings and portraits in Victoria, Comox Valley, Campbell River, Tofino, and all over Vancouver Island.

Darshan and Alex offer four wedding collections. Heirloom albums are offered in three collections. They also offer day-after or day-before sessions for the bride and groom to avoid comprimising spending time with friends and relatives on the wedding day.
