Eric Daigle is known for shooting at landmarks such as the Banff Springs Hotel and wilderness settings like Lake Louise and Emerald Lake Lodge. He works in a photojournalistic style and enjoys capturing moments in the many beautiful locations throughout the region. Eric was raised near the countryside of Quebec City and has always loved the great outdoors.

He has spent over 20 years working as a Canmore & Banff wedding photographer and still loves every minute of it. He chose to stay permanently in the Canmore Banff area in 1999 and worked on various events at the Banff Springs Hotel. In 2006, he received a certificate in photography from SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology).

Each wedding package includes high-resolution, edited images. Engagement sessions can either be included in your wedding package or available on their own.

Amazing! Hire eric!
Eric is an amazing photographer, my husband and I are awkward people and he made us feel at ease and got some natural shots of us. He took our engagement photos, pregnancy reveal and our wedding photos. The photos speak for themselves, but also he keeps caught up and gets photos back to you promptly. Eric is passionate about what he does and he will get muddy or do whatever it takes to get the perfect shot!

Highly recommended wedding photographer
We loved having Eric capture our wedding in the mountains! From the very beginning he was so personable, responsive and easy to work with. His attention to detail, incredible framing and creativity truly made our photos stand out! We were also impressed with how quickly he was able to turn around and edit all our images. Eric's enthusiasm for photography really shines through in his work and we would highly recommend him for your special day!

Yadav Wedding
It was an absolute pleasure working with Eric, and we were so glad we chose him to capture moments from our special day. Eric exceeded our expectations for a wedding photographer. His expertise and skills are very apparent from the moment you meet him. His communication was amazing. We had to adjust our picture locations due to time constraints, and he knew exactly where to go to capture the most amazing pictures. Weddings can be super stressful, but having Eric as your photographer will guarantee the photography will be completely handled by a professional and no need to worry/stress about it. The pictures turned out so much better than we could have every imagined and now we have beautiful memories to share with everyone.

Great family portrait session
My family was happy to have found Eric to do a photoshoot for us while on holiday in Canmore. With ages ranging from 4 to 75, Eric was great with both my parents and my nieces - he was especially wonderful with the kids! The shots with the kids were so much fun!
Eric was very communicative and professional, and helped up with selecting the location. And the photos turned out beautiful as well!! Would highly recommend Eric for a family session in the future!

Wonderful Photographer and Person
Eric was amazing and calming. He took us to a couple of beautiful places in the pictures turned out wonderful! Everyone loved him and happy he was here on our wedding day.

Winter Wonderland Engagement
Words truly can not describe how much my partner and I enjoyed our session with Eric. I proposed to my partner on a cold, snowy day December and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect photographer to shoot these breathtaking images. From the beginning, Eric was highly responsive and gave me lots of tips on places within Banff to propose and possible location options. We made a spontaneous decision to move the surprise proposal to Two Jack Lake so that we could ice skate on it… little did I know Eric would encourage me to propose on the ice! After, we headed over to Lake Minnewanka to admire the views. Eric knows the area like the back of his hand and can make anyone feel instantly comfortable. I think the comment we’ve gotten the most on photos is how natural they are yet vivid. I’d say that’s how I’d best describe Eric… rugged, lively, excellent eye for photography and lighting, and most of all a delight to work with! I highly recommend Eric for any of your Canadian photo shoot needs.

Copper Point Wedding 09/2023
Simply put Eric was an unbelievable choice as our photographer and we couldn't be happier spending the experience with him. Starting with our initial meeting and how interested he was in telling our story we knew we were in great hands. He has incredible intuition for the perfect spots for shots and has such a talent for finding different angles and landscape to be incorporated into his photography. Between our engagement photos and wedding photos, the process was seamless with Eric going above and beyond to make use comfortable, natural and create unique and personalized shots. He was punctual, checked in constantly through the planning phase of the wedding and was on the whole day. The turnover of our pictures to his final edits was fast and we couldn't be happier with the product. This is the second wedding in our family he has done, and if I can would make sure he also does the third and fourth. Do yourself a favor and look through his portfolio, he takes amazing landscape photography, family photos and we were incredibly impressed with his wedding photography.

simply. THE BEST.
We spoke to a few other photographers in the Colombia Valley, and no one even comes close to Eric's persona. He is charismatic, out-going, and easy to like. We are not big photography people, and were VERY uncomfortable going into the first session with him (we have never done a professional shoot before), but after and hour with him, we felt right at home, and it shows in the product we got afterwards. The wedding couldn't have gone better, he is so easy to work with, its hard to put into words. He is quite simply the best, and you WILL NOT be disappointed!

Eric is the best!!
Eric is the best!! He is so easy to work with and so comfortable to be around. Weeks after the wedding my family is still commenting on the fact that he seemed to be present to capture every important moment, yet his presence is subtle and stealth at the same time! Would highly recommend Eric to any bride!
