Lucho and Jana did a superb job at my wedding in Sept 2020. The best part was live-stream video they did for the ceremony, essential for all my global family that couldn't make it for the pandemic. They handled all the tech and sound and managed live duel camera angles. It was excellent, my family was thrilled. They also knew great spots around Vancouver for pre-ceremony shots. They were professional and efficient, I could relax and enjoy the day. Photos were great. All very reasonably priced too. I highly recommend.

Farawayland Weddings have an awesome team! They captured my sister's wedding a few years ago, and now captured mine in the middle of the pandemic! My family and I really appreciated their flexibility to find a package that worked for us and them willing to travel out to an unorthodox wedding during the confusion of the COVID-19 pandemic and last minute changes to schedule. Farawayland Weddings and Lucho were hired by my husband Patrick and I for our engagement shoot in 2015 and again on our wedding day in 2016. We knew we wanted to capture our precious moments in an intimate way that spoke to our specific style and taste and we were looking for a photographer who understood us. Right from the beginning the Farawayland team really impressed us with their professionalism, enthusiasm, creativity and ability to come up with spontaneous ideas in the most candid of moments. They listened to what we had in mind and worked around making it all happen even better than we could have explained. Not to mention crafting an engagement and wedding package that suited our needs, wants and most importantly our budget! My husband and I received all of our unedited original photos and video files in addition to the finished edited copies in more than a reasonable timeframe. Even their in-person final presentation to us of all the work they had done on our behalf was personalized by their team which made us feel special thanks to their added touches to remember them by. Would I hire Farawayland Weddings again? In a heart beat! This company really is one of a kind. Thank you Farawayland. Thank you Lucho and his team for being such professional photographers and videographers for our big day. My husband and I are very camera shy and awkward when being photographed and filmed. We really wanted to find a company that was professional (knows how to give directions and make us feel comfortable) and at the same time provide same day edit (SDE), but at the same time we did not want to break the bank. We couldn’t believe when we stumbled upon Farawayland, they were able to provide all that and was well within our budget. Their package is an insane deal, including engagement photo shoot, 12 hours photography and videography coverage during the wedding (although we felt they might have stayed longer in order to capture as much as they can for us), bridal hair and makeup and SDE just to name a few). One thing that made them stood out was that my husband and I wanted to do something different with our SDE, so it’s more memorable for us, our families and our friends. During the initial discussion process, it went really smoothly and both my then fiancé and Lucho and team were super animated when talking about the different ideas that can make our SDE special. As we got closer to the date, Lucho even agreed to come to our place to film extra segments to be used within our SDE, to make it more special and movie-like. They were super professional throughout the whole process, showing up early to prepare and made us feel comfortable in front of them, teaching us what to do and how to pose. When it was time to watch our SDE we were all blown away. It was like watching a mini-film. Our guests were all standing and clapping after the SDE ended. It was an amazing finale to our wedding. It seemed like that was the main thing that our families and friends were talking about after the wedding. Besides that, the wedding photos and videos were great and arrived within an acceptable time frame. We highly recommend Farawayland, my husband and I both think this was one of the best choices we made for the wedding. We would recommend them to all our families and friends and we will definitely go back to them for future photoshoots.

We had the Farawayland's dream team of Lucho, Jana, Adam and Rafael be our videographers at our wedding, and only have great things to say about them. We asked them for something outside of their usual style - a documentary style shoot (i.e. very few posed shots) and they had no issues doing this for us. We received our 3 minute trailer a few weeks after the wedding, and love it so much! And our over-1 hour wedding video was just perfect...the music choice, the style and all the memories it captured are something we will treasure always!

We had a Indian-Catholic and Zoroastrian wedding, and were really impressed with the research the team did, prior to the wedding, into our respective traditions and ceremonies, so they knew what to anticipate and therefore what to capture on film when the time came.

We also wanted our wedding guests to all be able to see the ceremony as it was happening, irrespective of where in the venue they were seated. So we asked Farawayland Weddings if they could stream a live feed for us, and have it connected to the TVs that were on our venue’s walls. The team went to the venue a few weeks before the wedding, made sure they knew what cables and tech would be needed for this, and then live streamed on the day of from an iPad.

These guys are well priced, professionals, and great at what they do. You are in excellent hands.

Me and my husband had Farawayland as our wedding videographers in November. The whole experience is with them was very easy and smooth. We had a tight budget and the teams first priority was to get us everything we hoped for within our budget. Jana is very responsive and helpful and Lucho and his team did an amazing job editing and capturing our day. I would highly recommend!!!! We absolutely love our video and Have watched it 10 times and we just got it.

First excellent valve. We did a same day edit. its was blast everybody in audience enjoy it and truly worth it because we could see on the same day all events happen that day.
Secondly Responsive they were early and work very late, answer to what we want and more .
Thirdly very professional ,work around all events. not in our way at all.
We received a Preliminary video for the wedding ceremony almost a week after which is great we could share with our loves as we are all eager to see it. and our some day edit was review almost 129 times on the first day we got it.
Emtremely satisfy, can't wait to see the rest of all our photos and videos to come.

End of 2017, I was looking for a photography and videography service on our wedding day. Inquired to a lot of places, most places are really expensive and not within our budget. A quick google search I came across Farawayland’s website. Prices are very reasonable and fit our budget. Submitted an inquiry to the website, got a call back from Lucho the very next day. We talked for a few minutes to discuss on what we want and what we’re looking for, then we scheduled a face to face meetup. We then met with Lucho, first impression was he’s a very nice guy, polite and very detailed with his craft. He went and explained everything as far as what’s included in the package, the timeframe, the schedule etc. After leaving his studio and a few days later, me and my wife decided to go with him for the service. We went ahead and do our engagement shoot, it went well considering that it rained a little bit midway through. But it’s not visible in the pictures! It’s like magic! Me and my wife were not picky on the location and the shots, we let him decide most of this and we’re happy with the results. My suggestions for couples are, research for the shots you wanted to be taken, screenshot them and show to your photographer. This will fill in the gaps were your photographer is trying to think the next photo to take. Fast forward now to our wedding day, the big day! Me and my wife were in two different hotels in the morning, we got 2 groups of photographers and a videographer. They were on time, ready with their equipment, knows the shots to take and very creative. We then met altogether to take the first look photos. It was amazing! Videographer made us very comfortable with the shots. As for the rest of the day and the actual wedding ceremony, they captured every single thing that we wanted.
