Renee Thouin + I have so many wonderful things to say about our photographers Film & Forest Photography, based in Banff, AB. When we hired them last year we knew we wanted to elope, but we had no plans beyond that.
Afton + Liam are wonderful elopement and adventure planners and photographers who know their region well. They were able to guide us to select the best locations for the shoots, offer suggestions for local vendors and guided us to finding the perfect officiant for our vows.
They offered endless support for the months leading up to our elopement and then exceeded our expectations on the day of. They patiently managed our itinerary and moved with the weather. They were so completely down to earth and made us instantly feel comfortable (and we are both shy people).
If you are looking at eloping, getting married in a smaller ceremony, or are just looking for some adventure photography in Banff National Park, Yukon, California, Mexico or in one of the bucket list locations listed on their website, I highly recommend these folks!

Where do I begin with these two? They are just the best people, and the best at their jobs.

From first interaction, we had nothing but positive experiences with Liam and Afton. They are so helpful in the wedding planning process, and always easy to reach and happy to help. They are a blast during photo shoots - they give great directions, and captured our natural, goofy selves perfectly. I have never been a fan of looking at pictures of myself - but I am completely obsessed with the pictures they have given us so far, and am totally fan-girling at pictures of myself! That is talent!

We know that we will look back on the moments they captured for the rest of our lives and smile. Can't thank Liam and Afton enough for their amazing work.

Hiring Afton and Liam was the best wedding planning decision we made by far!! From the first interaction they felt like friends which is a wonderful quality to have in your photographers, especially if you're eloping. They were so helpful and easy going with the constant changes with covid restrictions, and we wouldn't have been able to fully plan our day without their tips and suggestions.

We knew we would love our photos, but they were even better than we imagined. We also had Liam put together a video of our day and we are so so glad we did! Being able to hear the surroundings (water rushing, birds chirping, etc) transports you back into your wedding day, and seeing yourself and your partner in the moment stirs up emotions I can't even explain.

We are beyond grateful for Afton and Liam, their passion for what they do, and the stunning visual art that comes from it.

They are such a genuine and fun couple to work with and were so helpful with planning out our day from the timeline to organizing the many family shots we required. They are so personable and throughout the day took the time to get to know our guests and family as well. Not only were they a great addition to our wedding day but they also were game to get up at 2 am for an adventure session in the Rockies despite snow and cold on the hike to our requested destination. I don't think many photographers put their heart in soul into this work like Afton and Liam do, but it really shows in their work. Our entire wedding album was beautiful and really captured how we felt on the day. We had multiple guests comment saying how impressed they were with the quality and quantity of the photos, especially given that Afton and Liam were not very visible during the "big" moments of the day. If you are looking for amazing photos from a fun couple who really creates a true bond with you, this is your team.

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience. I have never had professional photos done so naturally I was a little nervous. Before the shoot they send you a link that says what to expect and wear which I found really helpful.

Once you meet Afton and Liam you can’t help but be put at ease. They are very easy going and fun to be around. They will do anything to get a good shot, even Afton getting on Liam’s shoulders which makes you like them even more. They give you all the instructions you need but the pictures don’t look or feel forced.

We went to two different locations the couple had scouted out. Both were absolutely beautiful one by a waterfall and the other a roadside turn out with our motorcycles. They make sure to capture the beauty of the scenery around you, while also getting those special close moments.

We got the photos back within a few weeks. An online album full (around 100 pictures) and I was so blown away. They are gorgeous! Got me feeling like a model. Really amazing would highly recommend, you will not be disappointed. I look forward to them shooting my wedding next year.
