Heather did our engagement and wedding photos. She was so pleasant to work with, friendly and knowledgeable. We are both uncomfortable with getting our photo's taken, however she made us feel good about the process.

We discovered Heather through the recommendation of a friend who used her for her own wedding in the same venue as us. We were not disappointed! Heather was very responsible and professional. Seeing the final photos - they were gorgeous! She knew the best poses to take, captured our light perfectly, and took some gorgeous shots that we didn’t even expect! Heather is very knowledgeable and helped us work out our start and end times, our timeline, and the best light for photos. She was able to get creative and rearrange the shot list so we could get more of the photos we wanted. What we appreciate most about Heather is her flexibility. With the pandemic, we had to delay our wedding twice. Heather was understanding and accommodating both times. Then, during our reception, we had the surprise addition of fireworks which Heather was able to shoot - in the rain I might add - with epic results. When our reception was running a little behind, Heather was able to stay longer for a partial hourly fee, which was very helpful. We honestly can’t say enough good things about Heather, from start to finish we worked with her for 5 years for through our engagement to our wedding day, she was patient and accommodating with us , especially when we have to make a venue change an moved our wedding out a year further. The day of she was so helpful , even with things that were not technically her job, she offered amazing insight and ideas. For both our engagement photos and wedding photos we really could not have asked for anyone better to work with. The photos are everything we could have dreamed of and as a amateur photographer myself photography was one of the most important parts of our wedding day because that’s how we will remember the day as it goes by so fast everything seems like a bit of a blur. We hired Heather two years prior to our wedding day because we wanted to make sure we snatched her up for our date before someone else did. Even before getting engaged, I knew Heather would be our photographer. I love her shooting style - it's elegant and timeless, and we got along great with both Heather and her husband and second shooter, Jon.

The day of, Heather and Jon fit in perfectly – they are both laid back and so friendly. We had very little time for getting ready photos thanks to a detour on our way to the hotel, but Heather was able to roll with it and got all the shots I wanted. They kept the family portraits going quickly and efficiently after our ceremony and got tons of candid photos of our family and friends during the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. It’s great having those memories caught on camera!

It was also really important that we chose a photographer who was able to pose us naturally and let the best of us shine through in the photos – we are pretty awkward people and tend to freeze when a camera is in front of us – but both Heather and Jon more than delivered and we are beyond thrilled at just how MANY photos of us that we absolutely love. I’ve put off making our photobooks for a while because I just can’t narrow our photos down to a handful of favourites.

Hiring Heather was one of the best decisions we made on our big day. We will have amazing memories caught on camera for years to come. It was the best day of our lives, and Heather truly captured the magic and warmth we felt the entire day. Thanks Heather!

Choosing Heather as our photographer was one of the best decisions my husband and I made during our wedding preparations. From our initial meeting to sharing our sneak preview right before Christmas, she has been so professional and friendly every step of the way.

Some logistics of our wedding to put Heather's services into context. We had both a Civil Ceremony in October 2018 and a Destination Wedding November 2018 in Mexico. Our destination wedding was a fusion of Hindu and Western Ceremonies, including a Haldi Ceremony, Sangeet, English Wedding Ceremony & Reception. The events in Mexico spanned over 3 days and was attended by close to 100 guests. Heather was able to cover all of our wedding events and included an engagement photo shoot and two separate getting ready photo shoots for both the Sangeet and Wedding Ceremony.

Heather was very organized prior to us leaving for Mexico; she was in constant contact with us throughout the planning process. Her organization and attention to detail was key to allowing us to trust in her process. She had a photo shoot document that allowed us to ensure we did not forget any important shots with our wedding guests. Heather also had completed research when Sunset was in Mexico so we had enough time over all the events to capture all the photos we wanted. She took the time while we were at the Resort to scout out the best places for wedding photos. Heather also walked through a photo itinerary with us and incorporated the timing into the overall itinerary with ease.

Heather also worked with our Wedding Coordinator and provided expertise to the layout of how our events would look to ensure we had the best photos. She was present at every step and event of our wedding.

While taking photos she made the experience fun and lighthearted. She made us laugh, was patient and definitely not afraid to get jump into bushes to get that perfect shot.

Heather was very timely in providing the photos to us. She worked very hard to ensure we some photos to share with our families over the holidays - which was a short time from when we returned from Mexico. She has met all other deadlines and has always been in contact with us along the way. She has also ensured she accommodated our schedules to meet with us.

The quality of the pictures and variety of shots were excellent. There were a combination of unique photos, candid moments, photos that will last a lifetime.

Besides the professionalism and work etiquette she demonstrated, Heather also had such a friendly demeanor and personable attitude it was so easy to work with her. Her friendliness and calming nature definitely helped keep the nerves away. We had a little bit of a wardrobe malfunction on the day of our Wedding Ceremony, not only did she help us look for that lost bow-tie but through our conversation with Heather after we couldn't find it she put it all into perspective and helped us move on.

Overall it was such a great experience working with Heather, we would and will recommend her services to anyone who is looking for someone to provide excellent professional service, at a reasonable cost while putting your mind at ease on one of the most stressful events in your life.

We hired Heather for our wedding and we could not have been more pleased with the results. The images we received were stunning, timeless and truly captured every detail we could have wanted from our day. But the most important photos that I will personally cherish are the beautiful candid moments from various parts of the day that were filled with laughter, tears and genuine emotion. Heather both excels in her technical and journalistic photographs. Her hands on approach, attention to detail and her amazing way of just making you comfortable through those tough moments made it all worthwhile. Working with Heather was one of the most easy-going aspects of our wedding. Heather made my partner and I feel assured and comfortable every step of the way and with every picture taken. From our engagement photos to the day-of, Heather's experience and professionalism stood out the most as we got amazing shots with a variety of different poses and backgrounds. Our family and friends are still in awe over how wonderful the photos are, and we are so thankful we have such a wonderful keepsake to look back on.

On the day-of, Heather was timely, efficient and well coordinated. Everything was timed perfectly and executed without a hitch and zero delays. From getting ready, to ceremony, to reception and all the pictures in between, each transitioned one after another without concern. Heather shot our wedding this past weekend as well as our engagement session. She was absolutely wonderful! Heather is incredibly organized, very professional and honestly so much fun! She has excellent attention to detail and was awesome to work with. We can’t wait to see our photos!

She worked with us during the pandemic to find a new date and appropriately modified our packages to reflect the changing circumstances. We received many high resolution photos that perfectly captures our day. I'm not a professional photographer by any means but I preferred her style over many others that we have looked at. She knew how to make good use of the lighting and space to make photos look more natural, and not too cinematic/overexposed lighting.

She was also great in providing suggestions and advice on flow, timing and scheduling throughout our wedding planning and the day of our wedding. In some ways she was our secondary coordinator! Which was helpful.

We met Heather at a wedding show in Toronto in 2019 for a summer 2020 wedding, which was postponed to 2021 when COVID hit. When talking to her, it was clear that she cared about the quality of photos and taking care of her clients.

Her communication is excellent. She responds to emails quickly and always made time for us to meet via Zoom. When the pandemic hit, she responded quickly and outlined options for modified packages. With the craziness of the wedding industry during COVID, it was nice to see that she didn't increase our package prices and worked with us on a package that fit our modified wedding.

On the day of our wedding she was polite, professional and friendly, which was needed on a busy and hectic day. She worked well with our videographer (separate company) and kept in constant communication with us and the other vendors to help ensure the schedule ran smoothly.

Overall, an excellent photographer and I'm glad we found her when we did!
