We were really happy with Ian's photos. He was very available and thorough in talking to us before the wedding to make sure he knew what we wanted, and on the day of the wedding, his photos weren't just beautiful, but also did a fantastic job of capturing natural moments and interactions between people. The posed shots were also good, of course, but the way he captured the people and the day overall in the candid shots was especially good.

Ian was an absolute delight to work with. Ian captured the moments we'll be talking about for the rest of our lives, as well as the ones we thought we missed. He was attentive to our needs and extremely professional. He delivered hundreds of photos and a beautiful sideshow on time with virtually no re-edits required. Months after my wedding, I still find myself flipping through the photos so happy that I made the choice to pick Ian Xu Studio as my wedding day photographer.

We hired Ian for our civil ceremony on very short notice. Luckily, he was able to come and took some great photos!

I’ve only get to meet Ian in person one day before my wedding as I was not in the country before my big day. I was surprised at how he can endure our craziness and not get mad (we are a crazy couple). I loved how he was able to take shots that are not just the ordinary wedding pose shot, but always trying to get the candid moments too which I think most represent us. Also, our videographer, Leo, was also very good at capturing the great moments during the photoshoot and the ceremony. The big day was cold, windy, and rainy; we can’t help but complained a lot as we are wearing our gowns with of course very little fabric to keep warm. They didn’t get angry at us as we kept yapping about how cold, how many more shots to go before we get somewhere warm. They were being very professional and also trying on different angle and shots for us. Thank you very much. I can’t wait to see the finish products and use it on my reception in Hong Kong.

Ian was fantastic to work with. We contacted Ian after seeing some of his photos online - we particularly liked his ability to capture candid moments. Due to the emerging and changing situation with the pandemic, our wedding plans were finalized only a month before the actual date - we had a backyard wedding. Ian was very flexible and came up with some good suggestions as we discussed a few scenarios. He is well organized and did his research beforehand to get to know the area (e.g. nearby parks). We love our photos and would highly recommend Ian!
