Absolutely incredible in every way

Sam and Chris are two of the most genuine and amazing people I have truly ever met. Not only are their photos insanely beautiful, but the amount of help and insight the provided was above and beyond. These two are seriously the best and I cannot put into words how amazing they were . I would and will recommend them to absolutely everyone who needs photographers. Thank you again Chris and Sam , you made our day 10X better and we’re truly apart of the fam ❤️

Run, don't walk!

Where do we even start with Isle + Oak?!

Tldr; if you’re looking for an incredibly talented (read: award-winning), uber-professional-but-feel-like-friends, willing-to-go-the-extra-mile, make-even-the-most-awkward-people-comfortable kind of photographers, then Isle & Oak are the ones for you.

First off — we had a classic COVID wedding, which meant rescheduling chaos. We first met Chris & Sam early on in our planning process back in 2019. They were the first vendor we secured after our venue because we loved their composition and editing style (#vibes), and from the very beginning they were incredibly friendly, easy to communicate with, so passionate about their work, and they seemed so excited to work closely with their clients to carry off an amazing wedding.

Where do we even start with Isle + Oak?!

Tldr; if you’re looking for an incredibly talented (read: award-winning), uber-professional-but-feel-like-friends, willing-to-go-the-extra-mile, make-even-the-most-awkward-people-comfortable kind of photographers, then Isle & Oak are the ones for you.

First off — we had a classic COVID wedding, which meant rescheduling chaos. We first met Chris & Sam early on in our planning process back in 2019. They were the first vendor we secured after our venue because we loved their composition and editing style (#vibes), and from the very beginning they were incredibly friendly, easy to communicate with, so passionate about their work, and they seemed so excited to work closely with their clients to carry off an amazing wedding.

Over the next couple of years of planning, re-planning, re-scheduling and all the other nuttiness of COVID, Isle + Oak were a bright spot in the whole process. They were so helpful with our endless timeline and location questions, letting us run with our various preferences and quirks but offering their professional opinion to guide us toward ideas we might not have considered and would work out better (e.g. first look locations we hadn’t heard of that would be logistically easier but in an environment we liked). We had a TON of fun during our engagement session with them (pro tip: if you do a session like this, you will feel so much more relaxed being in front of the camera on your wedding day, and even more so because Sam & Chris are super chill).

On the day of our wedding Sam & Chris were the real MVPs. They really helped the entire morning go off fluidly and made sure we got from place to place, including suggesting a last minute weather-dependent location change that ended up giving us some incredibly diverse photos that we wouldn’t trade with our original location for the world. They have a talent for blending seamlessly into the background — we got candids from angles and times when I had no idea they were there — then stepping forward to herd or tweak or arrange the day for a better photo or smoother transition. They were fun and engaging with other vendors and our wedding party, and we had so many comments from our friends and family about how friendly and on-the-ball they were the entire day.

We got a huge (legit felt like a full gallery) sneak peek from the wedding literally days afterward, which was so nice because we got a chance to share those with family and on social media, then our full gallery came through a few months later and had so many more gems in it! They were able to capture the feeling of the day through an artistic lens, and we’ll treasure our photos for years to come.

They were everything

My husband and I always knew two things. 1) we were going to elope and 2) we were going to hire Sam and Chris.

They did everything for us. They were there for us from the moment we decided to get married.

They were the only two people we shared our day with, and it was better than how we envisioned it. We felt calm, good looking, and happy the whole day. We owe that to Isle and Oak Photography. Throw your money at them, but make sure you book early. You won’t regret it.

Dream Team!

I am beyond happy we chose Isle + Oak to be our wedding photographers. They are kind, creative and managed to capture our relationship perfectly in our photos. My family, friends, keep saying how our sneak peak literally looks like a magazine spread- these two literally have magic cameras that make you look TOO good.

They have an amazing energy about them which makes you feel at ease in front of the cameras - especially if you are like us - the opposite of models or knowing angles, & movements! They seriously go above & beyond - they are available to help you with wedding recommendations and advice well BEYOND the photos. Assistance with bowties, bouquet drying and...

Amazing elopement!

We had a secret elopement. Just us, Sam and Chris of Isle & Oak and the commissioner. We picked a park, asked for their opinion on the location and followed their recommendations on the time and place. The pictures are absolutely stunning. It was beautiful, intimate and we had a ton of fun trekking around the park with them. I highly recommend their elopement package and this amazing duo!

2 of the best humans on Earth

Chris + Sam. It’s hard to find the words to describe just how special these two humans are, but I’m going to give it a shot. We hired them for our Wedding in September 2020 & also had our engagement photos with them the year before. From day 1 they have been an absolute dream to work with. We felt like we had two new friends after our first meet up over beers. They’re as professional as they are friendly. This made it so easy to run around outdoors taking photos with them. They set the bar high for the rest of our vendors, but thankfully they were able to give us amazing recommendations in both our officiant (Hey Rev - Brent Sheppard) & our videographers (Grey House Visual). Working with them was an incredible experience from start to finish. We can’t wait to work with them again in the future for some maternity shots!! We love you both!!

The best photographers and humans

From the moment we met with Sam + Chris, we felt important. They listened to what we liked and used their experience to make our ideas perfect. On our wedding day, they kept us on time and looking perfect. Sam had a backpack full of “just in case” items that came in handy more than once! My family and all of our guests loved them too. I would recommend them again in a heartbeat.

Exceeded Expectations

Isle & Oak were incredible! When we first met them, they were so warm and caring and made us feel like we had known them for ages! They’re incredibly organized, quick to reply to emails, no matter how dumb or how often you ask the same question. They always made us feel comfortable and even enjoyed being in front of a camera! Chris and Sam constantly go above and beyond, they scout out new beautiful locations prior to the event so they can always find the perfect spot. Isle & Oak left us with no stress throughout the planning process, stayed in touch with us the whole time and they kept us in the loop during the whole editing...

Chris and Sam FTW

Chris and Sam did both our engagement shoot as well as our wedding photos, and they were an absolute delight to work with! They are attentive, passionate, and downright kind-hearted! They made the planning process effortless from the beginning, as they are very easy to get in contact with. They made both my husband and I feel extremely comfortable being ourselves in front of the camera. Our photos turned out perfectly, they truly captured 'us,' our family, and our friends. I would recommend Chris and Sam to anyone, they are the dream team, and we are forever grateful to them both!
