International destination wedding photographers Joel and Justyna Bedford own and operate Joel Bedford Photography. They are based in Los Angeles and Ottawa, Canada. They are available to travel worldwide and love to capture all the wonderful moments, emotions, and details of wedding celebrations. Photographing together and separately for around 10 years, Joel and Justyna specialize in contemporary, photojournalism, portraiture, and traditional style photography.

Experience

The team’s work has been featured in various online and print photography publications, such as Style Me Pretty, Rock n Roll Bride, Wedding Chicks, and Grey Likes Weddings, as well as in magazines like Weddingbells and WedLuxe Magazine. Joel started his photography career by assisting his father, Ottawa portrait photographer Michael Bedford. He has taken part in high-profile shoots, including one with H.R.H. Queen Elizabeth II. He later became a successful retouch artist while pursuing a professional modelling career in the fashion industry. He has been a subject for brands such as TDK, Paul Smith, Holt Renfrew, Buffalo, Corel, Louis Vuitton, Karl Lagerfeld, and Christian Dior, and magazines such as Harper's Bazaar, L'Uomo Vogue, and Elle. This experience has helped him to develop a perspective both in front of and behind the camera. He began photographing weddings five years ago. Justyna is the founder and editor of an online culture-themed magazine. She has also worked in styling and art directing for numerous commercial and editorial shoots. Justyna brings great ideas and a beautiful aesthetic to all weddings that she and Joel shoot.
