Joseph does Phenomenal work. Read more to see why we feel this way.
If I could describe Joseph's photography services to us in one word it would be: PHENOMENAL. We got married at the end of April which is an in-between period of the year, known to be kind of chilly, kind of rainy, or just beginning to get warm. Near the early part of the afternoon it started to rain unfortunately, but Joseph was ready to take photos whether it was rain or shine. He put himself in hard to reach areas (he went on top of a metal concrete post in the rain) because he knew the photos would turn out great from that vantage point. Joseph was also SO considerate of us, to make us relax he would crack some jokes so the smiles in our photos would be as natural as possible. Later in the afternoon the rain stopped, but the wind kicked in and it started to get really chilly. We were shivering but this never affected Joseph.
We had a videographer and photographer for our wedding but the differences in the work and work ethic between the two men were like night and day. The videographer we had kept complaining about things, did a subpar job and seemed disinterested in getting good footage – I had to basically direct him to take interesting video clips during our wedding day. Meanwhile our photographer Joseph was basically the opposite – he never once complained about anything even though it was raining before and then it was windy and cold after. Nothing phased him. Joseph also NEVER had to be directed – Joseph knew his job was to maximize value for us on our wedding day and deliver results. And that’s exactly what he did for us. We received over 1900 photos and there were so many amazing shots in there – we had a really REALLY hard time picking out the select 30 or 40 photos we wanted to share with our friends and family in an online photo album. Joseph was very careful to get photos of each of the main cultural and marriage related events such as when my partner and I were walking down the marriage aisle, or when we picked each others shoe for the shoe game, or when our rings were placed onto our fingers. His photos were truly momentous – or once in a life time kind of shots.
And you may ask, what about his equipment? Joseph used Full frame Nikon cameras with very high quality lenses (I also have an interest in photography so I paid close attention to the photographer and videographer’s tools.) Our videographer used a crop sensor DSLR camera (Sony a6300) to do most of the outdoor wedding video work which wasn’t equipped with what we wanted – 4K video. I had a better camera that could do video better than our videographer (Sony a7 III). But the quality of the photos from our photographer Joseph, were amazing high quality JPEGs. I could pixel peep all I wanted and saw the images very bright and sharp.
To conclude, I hope that I’ve conveyed from this review that I pay very close attention to details. The details are what you will likely care about for your wedding because those extra details are what can make your wedding moments so magical. And let me tell you, you will be in good hands if you hire Joseph. Look, I get it, I get it - talk is really cheap. It’s easy to just login online, take one hour to write a carefully thought out detailed review, and make a recommendation. But I believe that actions are what matters. And you know what? We could keep going on about how great Joseph is, etc etc but do you want to know the benchmark we use for Joseph's phenomenal work? It's whether we would hire Joseph again for another photography project. And our answer is a resounding YES. We will definitely hire him in a heart beat for another photography session in the future for another function. Bar none, he’s the best photographer we've come across with extremely reasonable rates. We whole heartedly recommend him for your wedding (or any other important occasion) without a shadow of a doubt.
