We retained the top photo and video package with photobooth add on from Labastian. They had an amazing team who captured our wedding’s most memorable moments. The photos turned out sharp, in focus, and with great edit and angles. The video is something we will cherish forever all our families and friends loved it. The photobooth design was custom to my wife’s liking and they were very accommodating to our requests. 5/5.

We first reached out to Jason and Joel in the spring of 2018 to inquire about their availability for our July, 2018 wedding. We found their responses at the time to be prompt and patient with our many questions. After a few emails, we decided to meet in person to chat. We found them to be quite charming and charismatic, though what had sold us on their services was their assurance that they were quite familiar with our venue, as well as their assertion that because there were the two of them, they could ensure multiple angles of various shots. When we booked them, we opted on the Silver Package, $1800(+tax) which included 6 hours, as well as 350+ photos on a USB drive.

On the day of the event, they arrived as previously arranged. Their shooting began with spending time with the bride, her children, some friends, and family prior to the ceremony. They and their cameras also mingled with the groom and other guests while waiting for the ceremony to begin.

From our perspective at the time, the ceremony went off without a hitch. Neither of us recall having been distracted by their presence during the ceremony. And since neither of us have had experience with previous wedding ceremonies, we followed Jason and Joel’s direction and lead when it came time to organize our respective families for photos. We also found them to be quite receptive to our suggestions of how we wanted our playful natures to be portrayed, as evident by many photos being taken at a nearby playground. We parted ways once we arrived to the reception.

When we received the good news our photos were ready, we downloaded the proofs immediately. This is where our initial concern came to the forefront. We noticed that they had not included the bride & father processional. Also not included were the bride’s children walking down the aisle, or the children presenting the rings during the ceremony. As we looked at the very few family photos sent, we became aware that their attention to detail was severely lacking. For example, people were either squinting, or had not been made aware that transitional lenses were showing as quite dark, or suggesting dark glasses be removed. One group photo was so tightly and disproportionately arranged that several people had only partial faces or bodies included in the shot, while others seemed remarkably close to the camera lens.

We contacted and spoke with the fellows within a couple of days having received the proofs, and inquired about the missing ceremonial photos, as well as requesting additional family photos to choose from. They mentioned that they had been “caught off guard”, and had been rushed due to certain lighting conditions (is was a typical sunny July day), but they agreed to send further photo options anyway. The two additional photos sent were no better. A few days later, we received a formal letter from them which stated that “it is within their creative discretion as to what photos to capture...” We are left with the sense that photos of the bridal march, bride’s children walking down the aisle, or presentation of the rings were not deemed as valuable memories to have captured.

Although they’ve offered a “complimentary 20 page photo book album”, we do not feel that we’ve 20 remarkable photos to include in the album.

As of the date of this review, we have yet to receive a response from our last letter to them. We have also not yet received the USB drive with any of the photos on it.

Having chosen their services was incredibly disappointing and heartbreaking.

Our experience with Labastian was fantastic! We had gone for a great deal that included engagement session, 12 hours on our wedding day and their photo booth. I have to say for the sure the best decision I made and something our guests loved was the photo booth. Joel and Jason were easy and seamless to work with and our photos turned out beautifully. I highly recommend!

Labastian Studios did a wonderful job with our wedding. Joel and Jason were professional, calm, collected and thoughtful. Most importantly they took a wonderful collection of pictures that really was able to capture the excitement of the day. Having done rather extensive research at the time, I would argue that Labastian is, dollar for dollar the best deal in town - but on the deal, the experience is absolutely top-notch.

Once you meet Jason & Joel, the decision to choose them is easy. They are so much fun and keep your ideas in mind while bringing their own amazing creativity to the table. Everyone who saw our pictures & video loved them! They are very easy to work with and to communicate with. Choosing LaBastian Studios was one of the best decisions for the wedding I made and I would 100% consider using them again! :)

Let me tell you, I had such a good experience with labastian studios, I've been recommending them to everyone I know that's planning a wedding, friends and business clients alike. We did two shoots with Jason and Joel, our engagement photos and then our entire wedding day. We had a couple of shots we wanted to get, but almost all of the shots came from suggestions from Labastian, and those are the great photos.

Our contracted price was extremely fair and reasonable. Once we signed they stayed in contact and we had regular meetings throughout our wedding planning to keep them updated. They actually helped to remind us of all the things we needed to plan to make it a really memorable day.

When the day came they completely fit in to the wedding. They were dressed nicely and were all smiles with our guests. They even noticed some family leaving before the pictures had been taken and made sure we got together at the reception to get the pictures in!

They never left us hanging when we emailed them, and always respond in a reasonable amount of time, usually within two days, and with all the answers to our questions, not just to tell us they'd look into things.

Over all, I can't recommend them enough, and I know if you're reading this to find a great photographer for your event, you won't find a better team!

We were absolutely blown away by the amazing video this team put together! And the drone shot was a bonus! Absolutely fantastic to work with. They have a great eye and work extremely hard to give you their best work! It was money well spent!
